How big is BIG? Is a caveman big? How about a woolly mammoth? How much bigger than a caveman do you think a woolly mammoth would be?
Kids math learning sometimes happens when you least expect it. We know you have the skills, and we need your elementary math help to figure out how much of a difference there is between a 200 pound caveman and a much bigger woolly mammoth. Take a look at the word problem challenge below, and use your elementary math skills such as addition and subtraction to figure out the answer.
Question: A woolly mammoth weighs 6 tons. A ton is 2,000 pounds. If a caveman weighs 200 pounds, then how many pounds heavier is the woolly mammoth than the caveman?
