Practice money math skills such as addition, subtraction, how to pay with a gift card, and how to calculate the correct change with this word problem challenge.

Money, making purchases, and ensuring you get correct change is one of the most common ways we use math on a daily basis. Nobody wants to be left at the register without enough money, and everybody wants to make sure they get the correct amount of change back! You can’t take your tutors in math with you every time you go to a store or restaurant, but our math learning centers ensure you won’t need to!

Practice money math skills such as addition, subtraction, how to pay with a gift card, and how to calculate the correct change with this week’s word problem challenge. Here’s a tip: take your time working it out, and don’t worry about biting off more than you can chew!

Be sure to come back tomorrow to check your solution against ours.

Question: Kyle is paying for a dinner. The entire dinner came to $33.50. Kyle paid with a $25 gift card and a $20 bill. How much change will Kyle get back?
