Emmanuel Escobar

This is Emmanuel. I'm a first year graduate student at San Diego State University where I'm majoring in accounting. During my senior year as a university student, I tutored other students at SDSU in topics such as college algebra and calculus. I've seen many students struggle with math skills and sometimes get very frustrated, which is why I wanted to work here at Mathnasium. I hope to not only help kids with math but also help them become good at it. Understanding math very well at an early age makes it easier to learn the harder ones as the kids move up in their grade levels. I am an Electrical Engineering student at SDSU, expected to graduate in 2026. In my free time I enjoy playing the piano and mountain biking. My two favorite subjects in school were always math and science, and I enjoy tutoring because I really like seeing the process of a student go from a lack of understanding to a greater understanding on a topic. I am a high school junior at Helix Charter High School. I am currently taking AP Calculus BC. I love math and really enjoy learning how it’s used in the real world.
