Mathnasium Participates In 3000 Acts of Kindness Event

In December, Mathnasium of Savage participated in “3000 Acts of Kindness”, an event organized by Coated In Love. Coated in Love’s mission is “to provide hope, help and resources to the homeless community in the Twin Cities. [They] believe by providing basic necessities, [they] are also offering people love, dignity and respect, regardless of their circumstances.”
We are very proud of the Mathnasium students who donated their rewards cards and raised over $3000 for this great cause.
Also, we are excited that our Mathnasium center (one of seven locally) and its students combined to donate 300 backpacks, filled with winter coats, hats, and toiletries to this event.
One of Mathnasium of Savage's principles is “Be good at math. Do good with it.” These kids did a lot of good!

I needed to rewrite a previous review. My son does better with some tutors than with others. He can be quiet but does need someone to guide him through his lessons. Dave and I discussed this further so Dave worked out a schedule where Will can be with the tutors that work best for him. All tutors seem to have excellent credentials.
Other than this, Will's math grades have improved and he is more confident with doing homework and taking tests. It is good for Will to be able to get help with his homework when he doesn't understand it. It is easier for the tutors to explain it than his teacher.

Mathnasium instills confidence in my high school student. She is now successful in her math class at school and finishing the year with a top grade to match! Now, instead of becoming frustrated, she seeks additional learning & assistance at our local Savage, MN Mathnasium. The only thing I would have done differently is start sooner because immediate results turned into great motivation for continuous learning & improvement. Mathnasium is a great support system!

Mathnasium has been the perfect option for our busy family. It provides my son comfort in knowing that if he gets stuck or needs extra help, it is right at Mathnasium. They also help him learn new ways of thinking about tackling problems. It has given him confidence in his abilities. You can go in when needed, no appointment needed which is great for our schedule with sports. My son is an A student in Adv Math and this is helpful to help reinforce positive experience and to remove stress for a child that puts a lot of pressure on himself to do well.

Our son has gone from hating math and struggling with math to exceling in and loving math. He received his 1st ever A on a math test this year after working with Mathnasium for a few months. We have also seen improvement in his other subjects in school as well after attending Mathnasium regularly. Thank you! The staff is amazing!

We satisfied with this Mathnasiam in savage. My oldest daughters was attending a four year in a row and she is doing above her level grade. We also enrolled in our second daughter. We are going to advise any parents whose their kids are struggling with math to come here and see the difference in couple months.đź‘Ś

We attended the Mathnasium in Shakopee a few years ago and switched to the Savage location this past summer. We found it to be a much better environment and much more flexible. I felt like Lily really had a little community and when she would show up for sessions the instructors were always very welcoming and also flexible, sometimes allowing her to work through her homework and answering questions for her.

I love the staff here at Mathnasium and they all do a great job, but I wish they gave the kids trinkets from the dollar store or something instead of candy for punch cards. Kids seriously do not need more sugar and they seem to eat it there when they shouldn't be; as most are there around dinner time. I wish there was no such thing as cool down; they can cool down on way home. I think they should just do their work and go because it is a derailment for the kids and the ones still working get bothered and don't do what they are there to do. If a child is done and parent isn't there yet, have a little corner still that they can play, or have a computor with RapidMath.net on it so they can just do math drills. That would be a more fun cool down too but not really just hanging out cool down.
