Sebastian, Instructor
Hi! I’m Sebastian I was born in and raised in Hawaii. I decided to attend Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA to expose me to a new experience, and continue my education. Since a young age my favorite subject has always been math, and I think it was because I had such great math teachers as a kid which gave me a strong foundation to develop my skills. Currently, I am working towards a minor in Applied Mathematics, and from my experience, I found math has made me a better problem solver and quicker thinker.
I was raised in an unique environment and culture, giving me a great appreciation for our oceans. However, It wasn’t until the start of COVID-19, didI really get back into surfing, and over the pandemic I surfed every day for hours after online classes back home.
