Lisa Bocchino, Director
Lisa is a NJ certified Teacher of Mathematics who has 15 years of teaching experience with children of all ages. While earning her B.A. in Mathematics at Boston University, Lisa began honing her teaching skills as a University Resource Tutor, where she tutored her peers in Discrete Math, Statistics, and Algebra. After graduating from college, Lisa began tutoring with Kaplan Test Prep, where she prepared students for various admissions tests such as the SAT, SAT II, ISEE, and SSAT. After 5 years, she decided to make teaching a full-time career, so she enrolled in New Pathways to Teaching in NJ and began teaching Algebra, Geometry, and Precalculus at Allentown High School in Upper Freehold, NJ. When Mathnasium of Somerset opened in 2005, Lisa was hired as their first Learning Center Instructor, where she was introduced to the Mathnasium Method. She was so impressed by the strength of the curriculum and the effectiveness of the program, she decided to bring the Mathnasium Method to Middlesex County in 2006, and get kids excited about math!
