Sachin Gore, Owner
Welcome, I'm Sachin!
In addition to teaching students math at Mathnasium, I am also a math teacher at Hill-Murray school in Maplewood, where I teach Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 to 8th-12 grade students.
While I am now a business owner and educator, my education and experience are actually in the field of engineering. I went to Penn State where I completed my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering. I later completed my Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at Drexel University. If you haven't figured it out by now, I grew up in Pennsylvania near Philadelphia!
I love teaching kids math because I feel math is such an important life skill and I know that many students find math to be frustrating and confusing. Using math to solve engineering and business problems was key to success in my own career. While math came relatively easy to me, my son, now in 11th grade, struggled to "get" math and I struggled to teach it to him in a way that made sense until we discovered Mathnasium!
During my engineering career, I worked at Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan for a few years before moving to Minnesota to work at Andersen Windows in Bayport for 17 years. During that time, I had the opportunity to help start up a new factory, improve existing products and develop new products.
In addition to living and working in the St. Croix Valley with my wife and son, I enjoy teaching personal finance, business, and entrepreneurship in K-12 classrooms as a Junior Achievement volunteer. I am also on the board of the St. Croix Valley Athletic Association (SCVAA) and mentor high school students through Rotary's STRIVE (Students Taking Renewed Interest in the Value of Education) program.
Alex Mondragon, Center Director
Hi there! I’m Alex, I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary education with an emphasis in math and science from the University of St. Thomas.
I am a dedicated life-long learner. I love to encourage our younger generation to be excited and engaged in learning. I love to share my passion for math with all of my students. The thing I love the most about teaching math is watching the growth in confidence in every child with their math skills. Students excitement about learning is the most rewarding thing as an educator.
I’m from Colorado and moved to Saint Paul, Minnesota in 2010 to attend the University of St. Thomas. After college, I was an early childhood educator in Saint Paul for 5 years. I worked with a variety of ages groups, but spent most of my time with toddlers, and preschool students. More recently, I had been working as a restaurant manager in Saint Paul. In my free time, I enjoy baking, crafting, and photography. I enjoy visiting state parks, hiking and kayaking during the warmer months.
Amanda Hannasch, Lead Instructor
Hi there, I’m Amanda!
I love being able to work with students and helping them succeed, in both math and life. My favorite part about teaching math is seeing the “light bulb” moment; the moment that they finally understand the concepts that they are working on, and then being able to breeze through their work. It’s very rewarding to be able to be a part of that success!
I grew up in Lake Elmo, Minnesota, and am an alumnus of Stillwater Area High School. I recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with my Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics. In addition to my studies and job, I love to volunteer through Junior Achievement (JA) and Strive Mentoring. I also love reading, being outside when it's warm out, and spending time with my German Shepard mix puppy!

Our Online Team
Celeste Nelson, Senior @Home Math Coach
Hi, I'm Celeste! I have a bachelor's degree in mathematics/secondary education and a master's degree in education. The past thirty years I have been working in the education field. Most of that time has been spent teaching middle school math and graduate level technology courses. Currently, I am the Math Interventionist for Hudson Middle School.
In 2018, I joined the Hudson Mathnasium in-center team. In the spring of 2020, I started working with Mathnasium@Home. I still do some instructing; however, my main responsibilities involve preparing the @Home classrooms and student materials. Two things I like the most about Mathnasium are the individualized learning plans and watching students develop their math skills.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my son and our dog. I love to travel, read, craft, watch movies, scrapbook via Shutterfly, and complete Sudoku puzzles.
Philip Herder, Math Coach

Hi, I'm Gail. I am a retired teacher. I have taught preschool through 12th grade in all subjects the last 35 years. My most recent experience was 21 years at Hudson Middle School as a Special Education teacher, with a focus on Learning Disabilities.
Teaching at Mathnasium@Home has been a fantastic experience for me. It allows me to do what I love, while staying home. I enjoy helping students that are finding something to be a challenge. I so enjoy watching them be uplifted when they understand a concept. I had a student tell me, "At first it is hard, then I start to get it half way. Then, I understand and it is easy".
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy family time. I have three children, a daughter and boy-girl twins that are all in college. I also enjoy sewing, reading, and traveling when times allows.
