Center Director & Head Coach

Sachin Gore, Owner

Welcome, I'm Sachin! I have an MBA from Drexel University and an MS and BS in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University.

I love teaching kids math because I feel math is such an important life skill and I know that many students find math to be frustrating and confusing. Using math to solve engineering and business problems was key to success in my own career. While math came relatively easy to me, our son struggled to "get" math and I struggled to teach it to him in a way that made sense until we discovered Mathnasium!

My first job out of college was at Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI. After 3 years there, I moved to Minnesota to work for Andersen Windows in Bayport, MN. In my professional career, I am proud to be the inventor of several new products that received patents.

In addition to living and working in the St. Croix Valley with my wife and son, I enjoy teaching personal finance, business, and entrepreneurship in K-12 classrooms as a Junior Achievement volunteer. I am also on the board of the St. Croix Valley Athletic Association (SCVAA) and mentor high school students through Rotary's STRIVE (Students Taking Renewed Interest in the Value of Education) program.

Math Assistant CoachAmanda Hannasch, Center Director

Hi there, I’m Amanda! I am currently a senior at University of Wisconsin at River Falls majoring in Mathematics.

I love being able to work with students and helping them succeed, in both math and life.  My favorite part about teaching math is seeing the “light bulb” moment; the moment that they finally understand the concepts that they are working on, and then being able to breeze through their work.  It’s very rewarding to be able to be a part of that success!

I grew up in Lake Elmo, Minnesota, and am an alumnus of Stillwater Area High School.  I went to Iowa State University for 3 years studying Chemical Engineering before transferring to the University of Wisconsin at River Falls.  In addition to my studies and job, I love to volunteer through Junior Achievement (JA) and Strive Mentoring.  I also love reading, being outside when it's warm out, and spending time with my German Shepard mix puppy!

Math Assistant CoachShad Vork, Senior Math Coach

Hi, I’m Shad. I have a bachelor's degree in Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics.

I tutored math throughout college but went in an altogether different direction for a career. In the past few years, I tutored a couple of family members in high school math and ACT prep. Through this time, I remembered how much I love math as well as seeing others learn it.

My other interests include playing trombone with Stillwater’s Valley Concert Winds, playing games with my family and studying the Bible.

Math Assistant CoachTyler LaGrave, Senior Math Coach

Hi, I'm Tyler, and I absolutely love teaching math! After graduating from Stillwater Area High School in 2004, I earned a bachelor's degree in physics with a minor in astrophysics from the University of Minnesota in 2008.

Mathematical rigor was naturally integral to my undergraduate studies, but I also bring to Mathnasium more than a decade of experience in private tutoring and a positive zeal for helping students of all skill levels reach their true potential.

Besides math, I also love the theology and music of the Reformation, and I am working toward ordination in the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod. My wife and I are blessed with four children ages five and under who keep us on our toes. We are big supporters of the classical model of education, speak German about 30% of the time at home, and love cooking (and eating!) international cuisine.

Math Assistant CoachDan Geister, Senior Math Coach

Hi!  I’m Dan and I am from River Falls, Wisconsin. I have a bachelor's degree in Geology.

I have been working in education since 2005 and at Rutherford Elementary in Stillwater since 2015. I've been also teaching at Mathnasium since 2016.

Outside of teaching I have an abundance of interests. I am involved with the Pierce County Historical Association and have a major interest in local history. This passion has led me to write two local history books. I also love Star Wars, consider myself an 80’s Music Enthusiast and Collector and I’m always on the hunt for old albums.

Math Assistant CoachRyan Burger, Math Coach

Hi, I’m Ryan! I recently graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering. I graduated from Stillwater Area High School in 2015 where of course, math was my favorite subject in school!

I try to bring positive energy that can make math seem fun. Working with students allows me to feel like I can have a strong influence on our community, and I get to teach a topic that I love. The atmosphere at Mathnasium is one where I feel at home in, and I hope I can provide the same feeling for the students!

I spend most of my free time playing sports, watching sports, or hanging with my friends. I love to play ultimate frisbee and basketball, and will talk about sports anytime - especially if some math is involved. I’m a lover of strategy board games, especially Dominion and Smallworld, and I am always looking for recommendations.

Math Assistant CoachJackson Moffitt, Math Coach Intern

My name is Jackson Moffitt and I am a senior at St. Croix Prep taking Multi-Variable Calculus (aka Calc 3).

I have been working at Mathnasium for over a year now. I have had a lifelong love for math and aim to open up kids minds to see the fun which can be found in one of the trickiest of subjects.

In my free time, I enjoy working out at the gym and playing golf. I hope to go to college next year and double major in mechanical engineering and applied mathematics.

Math Assistant CoachMichael Fronzcak, Math Coach Intern

Hi, I'm Michael and I'm currently a junior at Stillwater Area High School taking Pre-Calculus.

My favorite part about working at Mathnasium is helping kids get better and improve in math.

Outside of Mathnasium, I run cross country and track at Stillwater, and enjoy playing hockey in the winter season.

Math Assistant CoachOlivia Velte, Math Coach Intern

Hi I’m Olivia. I am currently a senior at Stillwater Area High School taking AP Statistics. I completed AP Calculus BC last school year.

I have always loved math and helping other kids learn to love math is the best part of my job!

In addition to my school work and my time at Mathnasium, I run on the cross country team, work in an Addiction Neuroscience lab at the University of Minnesota, and spend time with my friends and family.

Math Assistant CoachAnna Fisher, Math Coach Intern

Hi, I’m Anna! I'm currently a junior at Stillwater Area High School taking two math classes - AP Statistics and Pre-Calculus.

I have a passion for math and I'm also interested in graphic design. The best part about working at Mathnasium is making math enjoyable for kids and helping them overcome challenges.

In my spare time, I play lacrosse for Stillwater and in the winter I enjoy playing hockey with my friends. Lastly, I love spending time with family and friends making new memories.

Math Assistant CoachMartin Kurle, Math Coach Intern

Hey, I'm Martin! I am a senior at Stillwater Area High School and last year took AP Calculus BC. Math has been my favorite subject in school for as long as I can remember, and I've been in advanced math courses since 4th-grade.

I want to make math as fun and interesting as possible while helping others learn the subject.

Other than math, I love spending my time skateboarding with friends, listening to music, and playing piano.
