Brandon Volanti, Owner
Brandon is the Owner at Mathnasium of Tyrone. Prior to opening his Mathnasium center, Brandon worked as a Marine Engineer with OSG for 5 years. He has a Coast Guard Chief Engineers license, a BS in Marine Engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, and maintains an Officers Commission as a Lieutenant in the United States Naval Reserve. Having a passion for math and teaching, Brandon is enthusiastic about helping every child in the St. Petersburg area to truly understand math by teaching it in the way that makes sense to them. He has taught and tutored children of all ages, and he is committed to bringing the Mathnasium Method to the children in the community.
Laura Yepes, Center Director
Laura is the Center Director at Mathnasium of Tyrone. She has a BS in Communication from the University of Miami. Laura has loved working with kids since she worked at Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami before joining Mathnasium. Her favorite part is seeing how they light up when they're talking about something they love and when they finally understand something they thought they never could. Having always loved math, Laura first joined Mathnasium as an instructor, and now as a Center Director she hopes to have an even greater impact in helping teach kids that math can be fun! On her free time, Laura enjoys reading, writing and playing with her dogs.
