Jeff Roedel, Owner/Center Director
Jeff has worked in a variety of fields since his graduation from Ohio State in 1983. These include stints as a newspaper reporter, alumni relations professional, and marketing and operations executive. His passion for learning, the ongoing need to improve kids’ performance in math and Mathnasium’s exceptional track record led him to open our local Mathnasium in November 2015. He’s active in his neighborhood and church, and he and his wife can often be seen walking their four Papillon dogs around Upper Arlington.

Eduan Maritnez-Soto, Assistant Center Director
Eduan has been working with mathematical models involving education, biology, medicine, media, and sports. A teacher by vocation before he was one by training, Eduan truly loves helping his High School and Undergraduate students at The Ohio State University. He serves as a mentor at all levels, encouraging them with motivational quotes and to never give up. One of his goals is to show that mathematics is an art, a lifestyle and a universal language.

Katherine Adams, Instructor
Katherine graduated from Upper Arlington High School in 2015. She is currently a junior at Ohio University, majoring in both math and education. Her dream job is to be a high school math teacher. She believes anyone can learn to be good at math and learn to love it as well. In her spare time, Katherine loves to play volleyball and work on crafts.

Katie graduated from the University of Kentucky in May 2018 with degrees in Mathematics and Finance. She is currently pursuing her Master's of Actuarial and Quantitative Risk Management at Ohio State and hopes to work for a large insurance company upon graduation. She is very passionate about teaching others about math and loves helping people see problems in a new way. In her free time, Katie loves to listen to music, watch basketball, and explore new places.

Allie is a junior at Ohio State, studying Sport Industry. Math was her favorite subject in school, and she loves helping students discover what they are capable of in math. Her dream is to work with young athletes and help them achieve academically.

Susanna Tanck, Instructor
Susanna is a junior at Ohio State studying Materials Science and Engineering, with a minor in Mathematics. She has loved math and problem solving since she was little, and she has a passion for instilling this in others! Susanna loves working with kids and seeing their excitement when they understand a new math concept they didn't think they could.

Noah Key is a senior at The Ohio State University majoring in Actuarial Science with a minor in finance. In his spare time, Noah enjoys traveling and learning about different cultures.

Nikki Settlemyre is a junior at Ohio State majoring in Integrated Mathematics Education. She loves solving problems and encouraging others’ math skills, which is what inspired her to become a Mathnasium Instructor. In her free time, she enjoys reading and playing volleyball.

Anne Terez, Instructor
Anne graduated from Upper Arlington High School in 2016. She is currently a junior at Ohio State studying Applied Mathematics with a concentration in physics and minoring in German. Anne has always been a math enthusiast and loves helping kids learn math. She is a firm believer that anyone can succeed in msth with enough confidence and a good foundation. In her spare time, Anne enjoys playing cello and spending time outdoors.
