Using the Mathnasium Method™, our elementary school tutoring sessions help students build a strong foundation in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade math and improve their existing math skills.

Our Mathnasium@home program for 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade math tutoring focuses on pre-algebra and building the concepts needed for success in high school math. In middle school, extracurricular activities can cut into study hours that are essential for students who may be struggling with math. My daughter was failing 7th grade math as of April 2022. So I decided to give Mathnasium a try. She didn’t like coming at first and it was a fight to get her to go. But after a few weeks I noticed she stopped fighting and was ready to go when it was time. She started doing well and understanding what was going on in class. Teachers and her classmates noticed the improvement. Let’s just say she ended up passing with a C for the year. I give all the credit to the Mathnasium staff. They are amazing and I’m so grateful. My daughter will continue to attend during the summer and into the next fall to get her ready for 8th grade Pre Algebra. I highly recommend Mathnasium to anyone who is looking for math tutoring for their child.

Mathnasium has been the best thing I have done for my son. He went from below average grades to a 97% average this year. If your child is struggling with math definitely don't hesitate to go see Mr. Bob and staff at Mathnasium in Washington Township. (FYI the other tutoring centers don't compare to the compassion and patience of the staff here)

I've poured my heart out over these past several years about how much the Mathnasium program has saved our son (now 16 and in 10th grade), and about the uniqueness of our local branch/owners - Mathnasium of Washington Township (NJ) and Bob and Kathie D'Orazio. Very well managed - friendly customer service, great stuff, helpful with all aspects of math education while being flexible at the same time. My daughter is taking her SAT this year and I can't imagine she could be in better hands. My daughter has been attending Mathnasium for several years and she is far ahead of her classmates and has been since 4th grade. As she prepares to enter 9th grade this fall she has the confidence to know she can tackle whatever is given to her without fear and trepidation. Math is enjoyable for her as is science thanks to her time at Mathnasium. Also, the foundation Mathnasium laid for our son who will enter his junior year at St. Augustine Prep this fall has allowed him to maintain his 98 to 100 gpa in high level math classes these past two years without leaning on Mathnasium after their tutelage for elementary and middle school. Mathnasium also bridges the summertime forget-everything-we-know period. Mathnasium makes math tolerable if not enjoyable for both students AND parents!

My son started 8th grade this year in Algebra 1. After his first exam (prior to starting Mathnasium), he received a 78 and was struggling with most of his classroom material.
I immediately called Mathnasium and literally had my son in that night for help.
Fast forward 4 months, and my son raised his semester grade to a 93. Earning him an “A” in Algebra, as well as being named Student of the Month in December.
Unequivocally, especially during Covid and remote schooling, I give Mathnasium and their staff a huge part of the credit.
I would encourage any parent to supplement what their child is learning in school , with Mathnasium.

So...it's almost two years that our son has been working with Mathnasium of Washington Township. He has made super strides in his math skills and currently completes his work almost entirely independently. However he is not ready to part ways with our Mathnasium; nor are we. Despite his improved ability to understand math concepts and work competently in his Freshman Algebra class, there are still gaps in his knowledge base. This is where Mathnasium has been our saving grace. Their program identifies the gaps and sets about filling them. We believe that this is why our son is able to pick up new concepts on par with his peers and in a workable amount of time. No more falling behind!

Our 13 year old daughter has been attending Mathnasium now virtually but previously in person for 5+ years. She is a math whiz and loves math but was so far ahead in school she needed a challenge. Mathnasium was able to offer her that and help her succeed in school and provide feedback to the teachers who then gave her more challenging work. The school and Mathnasium continue to work as a team to keep my daughter above her grade level and she always scores above the national average on testing. The instructors at Mathnasium expect her to explain her reasoning for her answers whether correct or not and guide her through when she experiences difficult or answers incorrectly. They never become frustrated or just provide her the answer. I have often heard the instructors tell her that her methods of rationalizing her way to the answer are interesting and correct though there are also other ways that may be less complicated if she would like to know them. After all these years my daughter still looks forward to her hour or more per visit having her abilities challenged or, sometimes, even challenging the instructors. She likes telling me how many pages she finished each visit and she really likes Bob, the owner of Mathnasium and a really caring and friendly man. Tell him a math joke and you will win him over.

My son has been attending Mathnasium for 2 academic years now heading into our third. He still willingly goes and enjoys his hour. He has loved working with each teacher. And Mr. Bob (the owner) always says or does something to make him smile (or roll his eyes and giggle) which he always looks forward to. My son says "the teachers help you until you understand and make you feel smart when sometimes you don't feel that way." The amount of progress he made is amazing. If your child is struggling in Math, I highly recommend Mathnasium. It is worth the money.

I highly recommend Mathnasium. Our daughter is starting school this year CONFIDENT she will get straight A's. Only thing impeding her doing soon previously was Math! Bob and his wife have helped her to achieve a confidence in math that she thought was unattainable. The instruction is worth every penny!

My daughter has been tutored by Mathnasium since just before Covid hit. She had some in person tutoring sessions and then we had to switch to online tutoring because of Covid. The tutors are all very nice and helpful and really got her through a difficult subject. She is still working with the tutors in order to get ready for her next math class. The online tutoring program is very convenient since my work schedule has varied from week to week with Covid. I don’t have to worry about running around to make sure she gets there in time.

We have been using Mathnasium for several months now, our daughter was frustrated and close to failing Algebra in Middle school. She went from to a C in 3rd marking period and currently holds a 96 A and her teacher is beyond excited at her progress! The instructors are patient and explain concepts in ways she understands. Even through all the chaos of recent events Bob and his wife kept us informed as we transitioned to online learning. They went above and beyond and we couldn't be more pleased with her progress. I highly recommend using Mathnasium and earlier in their schooling than later! Worth every penny and then some!

Marc has been attending since 2018. I have seen positive results in his grades and his attitude towards math. Bob, the owner, and every instructor my son has had contact with is amazing and very knowledgeable. Although, a time commitment and an expense, it is worth every penny to see the excitement on my son's face when he masters a new math concept or his teacher's commend him on a job well done. If your child is struggling in math this is definitely the place to go.
