Paul Post, Center Director
Hi! I'm Paul, the new Center Director of Mathnasium of Wauwatosa. I have a BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and have spent over 20 years working in management, consulting, information technology and business improvement for both major corporations and small startup companies. I take pride in giving 100% to everything I do, because it’s mathematically impossible to give more. Most recently, I have been an active dad and PTA president at my daughter’s school – Milwaukee French Immersion. Spending time around these amazing elementary students has sparked my desire to help our next generation reach their full potential. Math has always been my favorite subject (I still have the math team medals from high school to prove it), making Mathnasium and the unique, structured, yet fun methods we use to build math skills a perfect fit.
I am fortunate to have always been an active volunteer and volunteer leader. I am currently the Milwaukee French Immersion PTA President, as well as Wisconsin State PTA Membership Chair. Married to Kelley, dad to Rylie, and proud dog owner of Nabisco, I love staying active in the Wauwatosa and Milwaukee communities, cheering on the Packers, Brewers, Bucks and Badgers, playing board games, and just appreciating everything that our fantastic city has to offer.
Derek Pipkorn, Owner
Hi! I'm Derek, the Owner and Center Director of Mathnasium of Wauwatosa. Prior to opening this Mathnasium center, I worked as a Middle School Math Specialist in the Mequon-Thiensville School District. I previously taught elementary and middle school students in Milwaukee Public Schools and the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District. I have a Masters of Educational Leadership from Cardinal Stritch University and a BS in Middle Childhood - Early Adolescence Education with math emphasis from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
I've been actively involved in math organizations at the State and National level. I was previously the chair of the Classroom Resources Committee for the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and recently finished a term on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Math Council. I have taught and tutored children of all ages, and I am committed to bringing the Mathnasium Method to the children in the community I live in. Married to Jillian, dad to Lucy, and dog owner of Willie (corgi), I love staying active in the Wauwatosa community and enjoying all that the Greater Milwaukee area has to offer.
Zoe, Assistant Center Director
Salutations! My name is Zoe and I am thrilled to be the Assistant Center Director here at Mathnasium in Wauwatosa. As an alum of both Christ King School and DSHA, I am no stranger to Tosa. From 2014-2018, however, I attended Rhodes College, a liberal arts school in Memphis, TN. I earned my bachelor's degree in Math & Economics and have returned to the good ole’ Midwest to pursue a PhD in Economics at UW-Milwaukee. In my free time, I enjoy working out at the WAC, spending long hours in Colectivo and seeing movies with my parents. I’ve also been known to run off to China every now and again to improve my Mandarin! Well, that’s all for now folks, see you out there with the fractions.

Hello! I’m Elias and currently in my final year at UWM to earn my B.S. in Applied Mathematics. As a child I struggled heavily with math. I went to Marquette University High School, it was there that I learned how to overcome my mathematical struggles and found myself inspired to pursue a career in mathematics. Before attending college, I chose to start a music career where I found success in recording and licensing music I composed by media companies all over the world. In 2012, I decided to attend college and earned my Associates in Applied Science from MATC in 2014 before choosing UWM to earn my Bachelors. My time outside of Mathnasium and school is mostly occupied by my family. When there is some extra time for myself, I love building custom computers with an emphasis on high performance and visual aesthetic.
Hello! My name is Zack and I enjoy teaching math at Mathnasium! Math has been my favorite subject in school for as long as I can remember, and starting in high school I started using my passion for this subject to tutor students in geometry and pre-calculus. After scoring a 36 on my math ACT I helped prepare my younger peers for this test as well. When I went to college, I worked at an engineering summer camp teaching young kids very basic STEM concepts. I am currently finishing my computer science degree at Marquette University. In my free time I enjoy golf, snowboarding, and video games.
Hello Reader! My name is Ben as the orange/red text says, and I am grateful to be given the opportunity to help some of the brightest people in the world with Math. I'm a Junior going on senior at Wauwatosa East High school, and I've be taking the same steps as Sarah has for the past how many years, yet I'm not ashamed to admit it, she's better at math than me. Anyways I've taken up other activities outside of math, such as; Football, Skiing, Destination Imagination, theater, and I was fortunate enough to participate in a German Exchange Program through our school. I love seeing the the kid's individual personalities and growth, and I am so blessed to be given the opportunity to work with them.
Maddie O., Instructor
Hello! My name is Maddie and I am pumped to be working at Mathnasium! I recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point with a degree in Elementary Education. I also completed my student teaching at McKinley Elementary which was a blast from the past as I grew up in the district and attended Washington Elementary. A fun fact about me is that I love animals, and I worked for the Milwaukee Zoological Society last summer where I learned tons of fun animal facts. I have also fostered kittens and hope to foster more in the future. I really enjoyed math growing up and would have to say Geometry is my favorite. Mathnasium has been an awesome family to be a member of as the environment is always fun and welcoming. Hope to see you in soon!
