Gail Bernhoft, Center Manager
Gail has 30 years of successful business experience and customer skills. She utilizes this to create a culture of positive "can do" to serve the community. Her past experience led her to Mathnasium because she believes she can make a difference in youth's ability to love learning and achieve their potential to become the best they can be, whether in a STEM career or any other aspect in life. She believes that in doing so, Mathnasium can make an invaluable contribution to the future lives that will become our politicians, scientists, teachers, engineers, mathematicians and parents!
Darren Ferello, Area Manager
Darren has a Bachelor's degree from Florida International University and has become a Certified Teacher for 5th Grade - 9th Grade Mathematics. After five years as a restaurant manager, Darren's management and business experience, coupled with his math and education background, brings a lot to our Mathnasium team. Darren's wife is a 3rd Grade Teacher for Broward County Schools. His father is a retired elementary school principal and a current education professor at Argosy University, where he teaches future teachers and his mother is a Pre-K teacher. Being that he comes from a family of educators, Darren has always had a passion for helping students learn math in a way that makes sense to them. Darren's favorite part of teaching is seeing a student's face as their expression changes when they experience the "Aha!" moment.
