Help Kids Excel in Math!!
Mathnasium of Westchase is hiring highly skilled and motivated Instructors who have a strong math background and good communication skills. Must be engaging with children from grades 2-12 and be able to teach up to and including Algebra I, II, and Geometry (Pre-Calculus a plus). Classroom and one-on-one mathematics teaching experience is a plus.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or other technical field is preferred. However, college or high school students with strong math skills will be considered.
Candidates must have excellent skills of working with all ages of children and be able to help students build strong self confidence with math.
All candidates must:

Pass our Math Literacy Test (includes up to Algebra and Geometry) without a calculator.

Be available to work at least 2 late afternoon/early evening shifts per week.

Previous tutoring experience a plus.

Pass a background check.

My daughter and I LOVE Mathnasium!!!
We began attending May 1st 2018, my daughter a 5th grader going into 6th grade, was lacking the skills to do fractions succesfully.
She was a C student in math. So I decide to enroll her May thur Sept, so we can keep her mind learning all summer and catch her up. That was my goal. Well what i got was much more.
My daughter enjoys math now, she is always happy to go to Mathnasium. What I gained is a daughter that is now confident about her skills in math -that this confidence has now spilled over to her other subjects, she is excited to go to school. Most of all she is getting all A's 100's in 3 math test so far. i am so thrilled!! The cost of the program is expensive-- but so worth it , I clipped a few bills to help fund it and waited tables every Saturday to be able to pay for this . The smile on my daughters face as she hands me her test - is worth all the sacrifice I made.
We will do this every summer. Thank you so much Mathnasium

My son was having a terrible time in 8th grade. His teacher was not much help and he was getting Fs. Mathnasium quickly assessed where he needed help, started filling in the gaps and you could see his confidence build not just in math but it improved his confidence in other courses, Right away we could see results and now he has a B+. I’m convinced he could not have achieved his success without Maynasium. Thanks so much Doug

My son had 8 days to get prepared to retake his math test that he failed getting only 10 questions out of 50 correct. After going there for 8 sessions he retook the test and got 31 correct. That is a huge accomplishment as he has always struggled with math. I can't wait to see how much better he does as he continues to go there next school year! Thank you for helping my son!!

My son was failing in Algebra 1. He thought he had a good understanding of what he was learning in school, but his test scores did not reflect that. When he was evaluated by the Mathnasium staff, we found he didn't have a grasp on some of the math concepts he had learned in previous years. Over the last 6 weeks, the tutors have been working with him on those concepts and reinforcing what he is currently learning in Alegebra 1. He is feeling more confident and his grades have improved. He finished his 3rd Qtr semester with a B!

I was worried that my HS student daughter would not benefit from your program. The open atmosphere and the amount of elementary school children did concern me. We have found that the later hours are best. Fewer younger children and quieter setting. The tutors are knowledgeable and truly excited about helping her. In just a few weeks she has a better handle on her classroom material.
