CenterDirectorRohita Shah, Center Director/Owner

Hello! I'm Rohita Shah the Center Director at Mathnasium of Whitefish Bay. Prior to opening this center, I enjoyed working as a project associate for the American Orthopaedic Association. I have a Master’s degree in Bioengineering from University of Illinois. With a background in Orthopaedic Research, I managed a Gait Analysis Laboratory at Rush University Medical Center for several years before deciding to stay home to raise my children. With my own children, I experienced both the frustrations of math and the rewards of overcoming the challenges through the Mathnasium method. Therefore, I'm passionate about helping every child truly understand math by teaching it in the way that makes sense to them. More importantly, I'm committed to bringing the Mathnasium Method to the children in the community.

Britani, Lead Instructor

Hi there, my name is Britani! I am a math instructor at the Mathnasium in Whitefish Bay. Ever since I was young, I enjoyed solving problems and working with numbers which led to me receiving my Bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse.  I am currently pursing my Master’s degree in architecture at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee. Along with math, I have a large passion for art and design (I actually minored in art in my undergraduate studies!) What I love most about working at Mathnasium is getting to work with students and seeing the happiness that arises when they understand a concept they were previously struggling with, it brings a smile to both of our faces. I can’t wait to share the same experience with your child!

CenterDirectorDorothy, Lead Instructor

Hello!  My name is Dorothy and I am enjoying being part of the team here at Mathnasium!  I have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and worked as a systems programmer.  My favorite part in programming was training and teaching others.  This teaching desire led me to home educate my three children which I did for the last twenty years.  My favorite subject to learn and teach has always been math and it was especially meaningful to bring my own children through all areas of math up through high school.  I am excited about teaching at Mathnasium and love to help students grow in confidence and enjoyment of math.  Besides math, I love sewing and teach classes in this as well.  I love kids and look forward to meeting yours!

Hi! My name is Rich and I'm an instructor at Mathnasium of Whitefish Bay and Brookfield. I worked for 35 years as an actuary, consulting to the largest companies in the country. I also tutor adult students toward their GED through Literacy Services of Wisconsin. While new to Mathnasium, I love working with kids to help them learn math to be successful in school and beyond. I especially like teaching math tricks and the unique Mathnasium approach that gives students a clearer understanding of how to solve math problems. I graduated from the UW - Madison with a degree in Actuarial Science. I have always loved math and knew this was the right field for me very early in life. My two sons are very strong in math, and I’m proud they are also Mathnasium instructors. In my spare time, I like reading, cycling, and volleyball. I have lived in Wisconsin most of my life and am a diehard Packers, Brewers, and Badgers fan!

Hello! My name is Joanna, and I am one of the instructors here at Mathnasium of Whitefish Bay. I am a currently a sophomore at Eastbrook Academy. I have always loved math and various things STEM related, which has been fueled by some fun online math classes and various math camps. Although I am not part of any sports at school, I do bike around a lot, including to school every day--even when it snows! I have played cello for 7 or 8 years, and I also enjoy plunking around pretty horribly on a pedal organ we inherited from my great-aunt. My favorite subject besides math is probably Latin, but I also enjoy classical history, which is related. I enjoy working with children, and I'm looking forward to teaching yours!
