Tom Camp

Tom Camp

Business Owner and Center Director
Tom is an Owner and Center Director at Mathnasium of Winchester joining after a successful career across several engineering, consulting, and technology companies. He served as a senior leader with Microsoft for many years, driving change and directing a variety of major corporate initiatives and transformation programs. With a BS and MS in Civil Engineering coupled with an MBA, Tom has an extensive background in mathematics that has been tested and reinforced through practical application in the business world. He is enthusiastic about working with kids using the Mathnasium Method to help teach math in a way that makes sense to them.

Jing Sims

Co-Owner and Center Director
Jing is the co-center director of Mathnasium of Winchester, opening the center following a lengthy career in computer network security and software engineering in the federal government and private sector. With a BS in Computer Science and a Minor in Mathematics, Jing is deeply familiar with math concepts and computation, and the fundamental importance of mathematical knowledge in elementary and secondary education. As a parent that is highly involved in her child’s education, she is enthusiastic about enriching the community and helping children increase their mathematical competency.

Frank D.

Instructor
Frank has a long relationship with math and the successes math skills can afford someone in the professional world. With experience in sales, inventory management, and business projections Frank has taught teams and individuals the importance of using math to achieve individual and business goals. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and seeing people succeed with that knowledge. Currently he is pursuing a degree in accounting from Penn State University, and in that pursuit has experience with college algebra, calculus, and statistics.

Karen G.

Instructor
Karen has a huge ambition for math, computer science, and social justice. She has excelled in multiple advanced math classes (AP Calculus BC, Calculus III) and will graduate high school with an Associates Degree in General Studies. She holds multiple leadership positions in Key Club, Coding/Robotics Club, and Diversify Our Narrative, while also spending time volunteering at her local library and being a part of the Teen Advisory Board. Karen looks forward to teaching the next generation of math scholars!

Marie-Claire M.

Instructor
Marie-Claire, also known as MC, has a long-held passion for both math and education and continues to increase her knowledge in advanced math classes including AP Calculus AB and AP Statistics. She plans on pursuing a career in the dental field on a pre-med track. She is very involved in school, has widespread leadership, and volunteers regularly.

Ashley has significant math knowledge and experience, and has developed her mathematical skills through accelerated and AP course work. She has widespread leadership experience through National Honors Society, Spanish National Honors Society, and extensive community involvement as a youth soccer referee and camp counselor. Ashley looks forward to sharing her love for math with students and helping them strive for success!

Axel is passionate about math and engaging students to reach their full potential. He has excelled in math through AP Calculus BC and intends to pursue Biomedical Engineering or Neuroscience on the pre-med track following high school. Axel is also involved in a variety of athletics and volunteer activities.
