Annual Winter Wishes Program

This year marks the 29th Annual Winter Wishes Program. Each year, New York Cares collects and reads tens of thousands of letters from hundreds of Community Partners, including homeless shelters, schools, and nonprofit organizations. After careful consideration, each wish is matched with a volunteer who will purchase, wrap, and send their gifts directly to our Community Partners.
This year Mathnasium of Whitestone will be participating by distributing winter wishes to those in need via New York Cares. Please contact us if you wish to participate. These random acts of kindness enable thousands of less fortunate New Yorkers to experience the magic of the holiday season in a way that is personal and from the heart.

My son enjoys attending Mathnasium because of their kindness, professionalism, time and effort. I just had parent teacher conferences with my son's math teacher and she told me how much he has improved and how much more confident he is!

I am very happy with bringing my daughter there to work on her math. I feel like my daughter is developing more and more confidence in math. I like that her work is tailored to her based on her initial assessment. I also like how she works in a very small group. I know that she will continue to progress and that Mathnasium of Whitestone will continue to fill in the gaps that have widened due to the pandemic.

Hi Mathnasium!
You know we love you! Nobody complains about math in our house and kids feel like they get a head start sometimes too -seeing math topics with you before they see it in school :-)
Also shout to Barrett! I hear him talking about math with Cody and he has those great communication skills that seem so important with online learning - a calm, friendly and warm way of talking with kids that help them be excited about learning and their teacher - Cody hates if I interrupt him if he's talking math talk with Barrett :-)

Whitestone Mathnasium is great!!! Awesome tutors!! They assist & strength each child maths skills. Karen is great with the kids. She alway encourage them to take part in their community. She leads by actions. She’s always willing, and gets involved in community service, assist in clothing,book, and food drives for the community. My niece loves Mathnasium! I have seen great improvement with her Math scores as well in her confidence level.

I was concerned on how this Pandemic would have impacted and changed my sons tutoring. I was afraid that his grades would drop because let’s face it, he’s home all day. I’m an Essential worker and have not had anytime to stay home and manage him. I appreciate the communication between the Tutors and myself. When my child is not logging on, they txt me and follow up. I’m so thankful that they have continued to help him and his grades have not been affected. Thank you

Since both my daughters started at mathnasium, one daughter has gone from a 50 average in math to a 73. In just one month she has shown this progress. My other daughter has so much more confidence in doing math and that is a huge step in the right direction. In just one month Mathnasium has really aided in giving my daughters such a step up. The staff are kind and patient and very knowledgeable.

Whitestone Mathnasium is GREAT!!! Tutors are well experienced and highly qualified. They are flexible with the schedule. My niece has improved drastically, in her school work and also has helped her self esteem and confidence. She has improved in other subject as well. My daughter loves Mathnasium!! She learns so much and her grades have improved tremendously. She has come home with 100’s on her last 3 exams. I really can’t ask for more. The staff is dedicated to providing great service. Christina is very professional and so very helpful. I have recommend this place to my friends and family.

My daughter is in her 1st year of college and was having problems with Calculus.
Thomas welcomed her to private tutoring, worked with her, refined her approach in handling the formulas, how to apply them, and when to apply them.
She feels more confident in the material thanks to the help received at the center.

Very friendly environment. Pleasant and inviting. The people that work their are encouraging to the children, I can tell the children love to go there. Confidence building is the key and Mathnasium Whitestone unlocked the door! I would definitely recommend this place because we are having nice results.
