Melanie Staus

Owner
Melanie graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics/Secondary Education. Melanie graduated with honors and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation's oldest and largest academic honor society. She spent ten years in the benefits consulting industry performing actuarial work and overseeing the administration of pension plans for several Fortune 500 companies. Melanie has done extensive math tutoring for all ages and in all subject areas and is thrilled to share her passion for teaching and love of mathematics!

Robert Gormley

Center Director
Robert graduated in 2013 with a Masters of Science in Experimental Psychology from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga, where he studied Developmental Psychology with a focus on learning and memory. He has a love of science and statistics and is passionate about helping kids grow and succeed. Robert has been an educator for over 10 years and has taught math from Kindergarten through college Statistics. He enjoys reading in his spare time, particularly the works of Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett.

Karishma Naik

Assistant Center Director
Karishma graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. She first began her time with Mathnasium as a student, attending while in high school. Karishma returned to Mathnasium of West Roswell as an instructor in 2015, transitioning to lead instructor later that year. Karishma is a big supporter of Atlanta sports team and loves to attend as many games as possible. She loves building relationships with the students and witnessing their growth while at Mathnasium.

Ryan Turner

Lead Instructor
Ryan first started at Mathnasium in May of 2009. He later became a lead instructor and started doing the majority of the private tutoring for the center. He enjoys playing video games in his spare time and diving deep into the “whys” and “hows” of math and different formulas. Ryan loves deepening students’ understanding of math and teaching the higher levels of math.
