What does it mean to be a Brag Board Champion, and how can students earn this title?
A Brag Board Champion is a student who, over the course of a month, completes the most mastery checks at their level, earning the chance to celebrate their hard work and achievements at Mathnasium.
How to Become a Brag Board Champion:
✔️ Commit to Regular Attendance – Research shows that consistent math practice helps transfer knowledge from short-term to long-term memory, reinforcing skills. Attending sessions regularly leads to steady progress and more completed work.
✔️ Excel in Mastery Checks – Each prescriptive ends with a Mastery Check, a mini quiz that students complete independently to demonstrate their understanding. The more Mastery Checks completed, the closer a student gets to earning Brag Board recognition!
✔️ Complete Prescriptives – Prescriptives are structured sets of materials focused on a specific concept, tailored to a student’s learning needs. They range from 8 to 25 pages and gradually increase in difficulty, concluding with a Mastery Check.
