The
2nd Annual North Carolina Math Competition (
NCMC -
.jpg)
formerly called the Mathnasium Triathlon) is an annual event that teaches students to appreciate and enjoy learning in a fun and friendly environment. Competitors are challenged by participating in three 15-minute competitions (questions are progressively more difficult for each grade level).
ALL youth in grades 3-8 are welcome and invited to register and participate on Saturday, October 8, 2001 (public, private and home school students). Each student receives a participationcertificate, T-shirt and a goody Bag. The top 25 participants with the hightest scores in each grade level will be invited to compete in the NCMC State Finals on Sunday, October 23, 2011 on the UNC-Chapel Hill campus. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners of the State Finals:
1st Place - $250
2nd Place - $100
3rd Place - $50
Prizes will be awarded to the school math programs of each of the winners.
