Mathnasium in Hyattsville has been such a game changer for our kid. First of all, she loves going and never complains about it, which is really all we wanted after disappointing Math classes at school, and second, the tutors, who are mostly college aged students, are doing something right keeping the kids engaged and focused because she is going through a lot of material and worksheets in one hour. The incentive program with fun prizes, some of which can be purchased even with very few cards, keeps objectives measurable and most importantly, attainable. The mastery program is carefully scaffolded to leave no stones unturned and is filling gaps that were preventing our child from progressing. It is also a dynamic environment with kids from every school in the area and of different ages, and this provides a confidence boost too, as it lets kids know they are not alone. It is an expensive and time consuming option but it was 100% the right thing to do for our child to regain the motivation to learn math.

Mathnasium has been excellent in every way. Our 4 year old has been making great strides and his progress has been steady. The staff is amazing not only with parents but with all the children in the program. I would highly recommend this program to anyone with kids young and not so young. Thanks!

My daughter struggled with math over the last 18-months and as you can imagine her frustration and trepidation for math class only grew as time went on. Working on math became somewhat of a struggle. I enrolled her in Mathnasium this past August and she genuinely likes to go and is much more independent in doing her math homework and studying for exams.

My children are coming here now for 3 years. An Amazing development they have gone through. One year ahead on the schools math curriculum. Never catch up or struggles with math anymore. Structured way of working towards goal levels, which they test on. Randy and his team are amazing, the kids like to go there, there is a good and serious atmosphere. Always time to sit down with parent to discuss development and flexible towards last minute schedule changes. We were with a competitor before: chaos, home work, no accommodation for children with ADHD. With Mathnasium, none of that. It is a higher tier service, and we like it a lot. Do yourself and your child a favor and try it, to not worry about math development of your child is such a great position to be in.

Huge fan of Mathnasium, in particular Matthew and the folks at the South Pasadena branch. Very attentive, cooperative, flexible and professional. Even if your child isn't "struggling" with math, it serves as a great reinforcement and the people who run this branch care a lot. My girls have attended Mathnasium for almost one year now and we have been very happy. I have two young girls, one who enjoys math, while the other doesn’t. However, mathnasium have made learning fun that both girls enjoy going and are upset when they are not able to attend. In addition, the staff are very flexible and responsive to my requests and are very easy to work with. Highly recommend!

We are very happy with Mathnasium. I decided to get my daughter extra math help as in the beginning of her 5th grade kept saying I am not good at math. Fast forward 3 months, her attitude towards math has changed. She no longer thinks she is bad at math, she is very excited on the days she has a mathnasium session, she now finds math a fun activity rather than a difficult school subject. Most importantly, she is more confident and happier with herself. I am personally satisfied with the service at this location and I see it as a positive investment towards my child’s education. Last but not least, Ruby attends to the needs of the kids and takes my concerns and questions seriously and makes herself available to talk.
