• Where is Mathnasium of Summit located?

  Mathnasium of Summit is located in downtown Summit, right across the street from The Greek Grill and Summit Diner. It is next to Four Monkeys Grill and Ethos Aesthetics. We offer a dedicated parking space behind the building for easy drop-off and pick-up.

• Does Mathnasium of Summit offer online math tutoring?

  Yes, Mathnasium of Summit offers both in-center and online math tutoring. 

  Whether students join us at the center or log in from home, they receive face-to-face instruction from our caring, specially trained tutors in a supportive small-group environment.

• Is there a difference between online and in-person tutoring?

  No, the quality of instruction and experience are consistent across both formats.

  All our students receive the same personalized learning plans and face-to-face support whether they choose to attend online or in person.

• What math classes can your Summit tutors help with?

  We work with students in grades 1–12 across a wide range of math topics, including early arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, and more.

  Mathnasium of Summit provides premium value by combining a superior learning experience with an efficient monthly fee structure that keeps costs low. There is a flat enrollment fee for our program, and students attend regularly. 

  Most students attend 2–3 sessions per week. After a diagnostic assessment, we’ll create a personalized learning plan with a recommended session frequency tailored to your child’s needs.

• Is there a difference between the cost of online and in-center math tutoring at Mathnasium of Summit?

  No, pricing is the same whether students attend sessions in person, online, or through a combination of both.

• Why do you require an assessment for enrollment?

  The purpose of the diagnostic assessment is to provide insight into the student’s current skill level, learning style, and unique goals. We use these insights to create a learning plan tailored to their specific needs, so they can truly understand math and build the skills they need to advance. 

• How do you teach math? What approach do you use?

  At Mathnasium of Summit, we do not follow a traditional curriculum.

  We use the Mathnasium Method™, our proprietary teaching approach that combines personalized learning plans with proven instructional techniques to transform how students think and feel about math. 

  We meet students where they are on their math journey and, building on what they already know, we add new concepts in sequence, ensuring that students truly understand how math works.

• Do you work with advanced students or students who are struggling with math?

• Do you work with homeschooled students in Summit?

  Yes, our tutors reserve time during each session to help students with their math homework so they can reinforce what they are learning and feel confident in class.

• Does Mathnasium assign homework to students?

  No, we do not assign extra homework. All learning takes place during the session so students can stay focused and make meaningful progress while they’re with us.

• Does Mathnasium of Summit prepare students for math on standardized tests?

  Yes, Mathnasium of Summit prepares students for standardized and school-based math assessments, including the SAT®, ACT®, and state exams.  

  Our test prep includes personalized instruction, practice problems, and strategies to build both skills and confidence.
