Required Qualifications:

  • Energetic and confident personality
  • Exceptional math skills through Algebra I and Geometry
  • Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work with and as a team member with other instructors
  • Ability to professionally interact with students and parents
  • Ability to work for at least one school year (Sept - June; no summer-only employment opportunities).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to teach students in upper level high school math courses (e.g., Algebra 2, Pre-Calc, Calc)

Our working environment is supportive and encouraging.  Applicants should love teaching and be able to motivate students to success.

Our instructional hours are mid-afternoon through early evening hours, Monday –Thursday, Saturday mornings to early afternoon, and Sunday afternoons.  We are looking for instructors who are available at least 8 hours (two shifts) per week or more (flexible).

If you are interested and think that you meet our qualifications, please send a cover letter and resume, highlighting your education and experience as it relates to our needs, to bethesda@mathnasium.com.

Once we receive your application, we will evaluate it against our requirements and staffing needs, and if appropriate, you will be contacted to schedule the first step in our screening process (in-person interview and pre-employment math test).
