Question: How much do two turkeys that each weigh 10-and-a-half pounds each, weigh together?

 


Answer: 21 pounds

 


Solution: Let’s add the whole pounds first, then the half pounds: 10 pounds + 10 pounds = 20 pounds. A half pound plus a half pound makes a whole pound. So, in total, the two turkeys weigh 20 pounds + 1 pound = 21 pounds... Now we're getting hungry...
