Karen

Center Coordinator
Karen is the Center Coordinator at Mathnasium of Chula Vista. She grew up in Southern California and pursued a Double Major in Business Economics and Social Policy and Public Service from the University of California, Irvine. Karen developed her tutoring abilities during high school, when she was asked to help out in AVID classes. Karen has always had a love for Math and children as she grew up caring for her nieces and nephews. During her time in Irvine, she volunteered with School on Wheels to teach students who were experiencing poverty or even homelessness.

Tyden

Math Instructor
Tyden is currently a student at the University of California, San Diego where he is pursuing a major in Cognitive Science. After college he plans to start his own business or web application. He spends his free time coding, 3D printing and playing video games. Tyden loves to learn and to teach. He has had a passion for math since elementary school and would constantly try to beat his teachers at deriving new formulas. Tyden combines his passion for math and technology with a drive to teach in order to lead the next generation to success.

Erwin

Math Instructor
Erwin is currently a student at Western Governor's University and is pursuing a degree in Computer Science. He has always been a fan of math problems and especially Discrete Mathematics. In high school and college he has been a tutor and mentor for programming for elementary and college level students. It has always been his passion to make sure his students learn new skills and improve their confidence in school.

Larry

Math Instructor
Larry is currently a student studying Video Game Programming in Tijuana. Their favorite videogame is Pokemon, which has since been an inspiration for them to study math and programming. They have a passion for learning and teaching, and have been tutoring for around a decade. They hope to be a lifelong mentor for math students.
