Mark Harris, Owner/Center Director
Mark has been in the Mathnasium family since 2011. Before purchasing his first center in Roseville, he was an instructor there for 5 years. It was at that center that he discovered his love for teaching and math! Mark is a hopeless Sacramento Kings fan that can solve a Rubik's cube in under 20 seconds.
Nate, Lead Instructor
Nate is attending Cosumnes River College. He has done a lot of volunteer work for his uncle's road race timing company. He helps set up the timing stations, including computers and chip readers along with aid stations, and directing traffic. He has been wanting to work for a while and decided he could us his prior knowledge and new knowledge of math to help students. He has enjoyed working with younger students and his family members with math. He has been an avid rock climber for the past year and a half. He does a lot of indoor climbing in gyms and even built his own wall in his backyard with the help of some of his family members.
Sky is currently a biology major at Cosumnes River College. Sky does volunteer work at a hospital, in its family health center, once a week. She loves learning from others’ perspectives. Math can be tackled from various angles, and she wants to help others figure out which angle works best for them.
Evan is currently a Junior attending Pleasant Grove High School. Evan was a Zoo Teen with the Sacramento Zoo, educating visitors about the various kinds of animals and assisted with arts and crafts stations. Additionally, he was a tutor in reading comprehension for elementary school students. As a student at Mathnasium, Evan knew how it felt to struggle with math. By becoming an instructor, he could make a connection with the students which could encourage them to try and enjoy math. Evan is a huge animal lover. He loves visiting aquariums and zoos. He also is very fond of astronomy. Learning about everything that is beyond Earth is fascinating to him.
