“Special percents” are easy to compute because they represent easy-to-calculate amounts.
25% means “a quarter of it”
50% means “half of it”
100% means “all of it”
200% means “all of it, twice”
To find 100% of 30 we take “all of it”. All of 30 is 30 and so: 100% of 30 is 30.
To find 200% of 30 we take “all of it, twice”. All of 30 is 30, and double of 30 is 60. So, 200% of 30 is 60.

I could not be happier with Mathnasium. My son has always been good at and enjoyed math very much. I felt he needed to be challenged more, and I also wanted him to be prepared to take the ISEE. I passed this info onto Francine and she made sure that his teachers at Mathnasium would work on these skills. He took the ISEE and did very well. He not only got into the private high school of his choice but also received a nice scholarship. Thanks to all the folks at Mathnasium.

I have two sons that are enrolled and look forward to going every week. One of them goes two times a week and asks for more days added . My younger one enjoys his time there and loves working hard to earn prizes . They have different fun days like cupcake day and lemonade day. It makes my kids want more and I couldn’t be happier

As an IS/IT contractor, i know how competitive jobs are, and the slills required to stand out. And when my 10 year old was finally able to get back into the classroom Full time this past year, and we went over some math principles that she should have had mastery of, and didnt, i knew i needed to get her some assistance. Fast forward to March 2022, after attending Mathnasium Since September , she is not only at grade level but has the confidence to attack new problems concepts and logic. Im extremely pleased with what she receives here and highly recommend you give this place an opportunity to help bridge any gaps or supplement any needs you child may have.

Just a month in and our 7th grader has shown great improvement. With the help of the Mathnasium team is moving from having just a surface level understanding of concepts to really understanding the the underlying principles which will allow him to continue to understand whatever comes next in the curriculum.

Mathnasium in both Hanover and Marshfield Ma have been a bright light in my son’s academics. The owners are amazing, caring flexible and I can’t say enough about how great they’ve been to work with. I would recommend them to any parent liking for the right support to boost not only their kids’ msg skills but more importantly their self-esteem and self-confidence.

As soon as you walk in you are greeted by friendly staff. It's a very clean, bright, welcoming environment. Very knowledgeable tutors, who are encouraging, kind, and take their time with the children. Ms. Francine is an exceptional woman who leads wells and cares about her staff and all her students! My daughter is excited to go and has improved in her math.

Mathnasium have significantly improved my kids understanding and love for Math, especially my 8 yo who is benefitting from one-to-one lessons. I like the fact that they always make sure that the work the kids do there align with their school curriculum. They set up objectives that kids have to reach based on their math level, and hold recurrent meeting with parents to evaluate progress. I really love the dedication of their teachers and have love our experience so far.

My daughter was struggling with math in school (grade 10) and upset every single night trying to do homework she did not understand. After the first session at Mathnasium her (and hence my) anxiety and stress level diminished significantly (around math anyway!)
She was again stressed about taking math MCAS but her math tutor at Mathnasium helped her prepare and again brought down her stress. She has told me repeatedly that she loves her tutor so much particularly because she is patient with her many and repeated questions. She patiently explains over and over in various ways until she "gets it". She feels stupid asking repeated questions during class and has been lost for years - Mathnasium is helping her catch up and learn the foundations as well as helping her understand her week-to-week homework. Mathnasium is a god send in our house! I recommend to anyone with math anxiety or struggles.

We love it here!!! Great experience so far. Francine was wonderful from the start. I built a great relationship with her and she made me very comfortable I was actually planning on another place but chose you because of how well she handled our conversation and the in person during the time my son needed the help. He does better with in person learning. The staff has been wonderful. I couldn’t be happier. My son has and continues to enjoy 😉 going there. Keep up the good work!

Francine runs a top notch program...very accommodating and caring!
My daughter has been with Mathnasium for the past 1.5 years and it has made a tremendous difference in her math skills. After a concussion she was set back primarily in math but with the tutoring provided at Hanover Mathnasium she has overcome her set back and continues to excel.

Mathnasium has saved my sanity and my daughter's mental well being! Her stress level around school has plummeted because she is learning with you what she did not understand during her math class. Mathnasium did an assessment to identify gaps and work on an individualized learning plan and they leave time to help her understand her current homework and prepare for school tests. Both of my children (who are very different kids with different strengths and weaknesses) improved their math skills. Coaching by student teachers has helped make it a positive experience. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I have seen results in my sons' ability to see math more positively. We have been going to Hanover, Mathnasium for 5 years.

My daughter was struggling terribly with math, not learning in her remote school and crying every night trying to do homework she simply didn't know how to do. After starting Mathnasium she had a math test and finished it so quickly she thought she "flunked" it but got a 100! She actually doesn't mind doing math on the weekends because it is helping!!! She loves her tutor in the program and is learning so much... Thank you Mathnasium!

My 15 year old son is dyslexic and was on an IEP from the time he was in elementary school until he became a freshman. As a typical teenager he complained about school and only had interest in video games and sports. I always felt that a major reason he didn’t like school was bc he lacked confidence in his own ability to learn and felt inadequate when all his peers were excelling in higher level courses.
I had heard amazing reviews about Mathnasium and enrolled my son into the program at the end of June 2020. It took much convincing and a little coheresion to get my son to agree to try it. After the first two meetings, KJ actually looked forward to his tutoring Lessons! He set his own alarm whether he was at home or even when he spent the night with friends! He loves the challenge of what he’s learning and with the awesome support of his instructor Alex, completed the entire Geometry course in 8 short weeks! Going into his sophomore year, he is looking forward to being in an advanced placement math class.! We are thrilled with our experience with Mathnasium and would absolutely recommend them to everyone!

Our daughter was struggling with math at school to the point where she hated it so much it would bring her to tears. My husband and I searched for places/tutors to help her but were displeased with how expensive they were. Then we found Mathnasium of Hanover. I brought my daughter in and was immediately pleased when I met Francine. She was so nice and seamed very sincere to how concerned I was about our daughter. The price was reasonable, and the assessment fee was waived when we signed her up.
Since Mathnasium our daughter has been getting better with her math skills with each session. And when COVID hit we thought her skills she learned would be lost, but Francine being dedicated to helping her students transitioned the program to on line and now we are back in class! The tutors are excellent, patient, friendly, and their skills are amazing Our daughter loves going there! The times are very convenient to our schedule and Francine is extremely accommodating. We would highly recommend Mathnasium Of Hanover to anyone that is struggling with Math!!

Have one on one attention to work on her math and progress further. It has been a lifesaver during the pandemic and they guided us into virtual learning sessions smoothly with great communication and follow up. We will continue with Mathnasium throughout the summer and into the next school year. I feel less stressed knowing that her math skills will continue to be worked on with the center during this difficult time.

Our daughter is a High School sophomore honors student. Her math skills had slipped during her third term. We previously had such a great experience with Mathnasium, so we decided to re-enroll her. Unfortunately the High School had closed due to Covid-19, and Mathnasium also stopped seeing students in person just as I signed her up!
I had spoken with Francine from Hanover Mathnasium and she let us know that they would be providing one-on-one sessions remotely. She had their remote learning services up within a week, and we are so very grateful for the help! Our daughter's math skills are much improved, and her anxiety over completing her math homework is greatly reduced! She looks forward to being prepared for her weekly sessions with her Mathnasium instructor. I feel more confident that she will be prepared for her SATs next year, too!
We feel fortunate to have such a wonderful resource available and highly recommend Hanover Mathnasium!

My Daughter has had great success with the tutoring at Mathnasium Hanover! She loves to work with her tutor Alex, the day before a test or quiz and has increased her scores tremendously in a very short time.

when my son started mathnasium he was overwhelmed & terrified of math! He had fallen behind & private tutoring was only getting him by! Mathnasium gave him a full assessment & the tools to fill in the gaps as far back as grade 2! He wanted to continue all summer! Although he still has a lot of work to do he enjoys every session & is feeling confident & capable to do his math work in school!!! Can't say enough about this program!!!!

My daughter gained so much confidence in just 2 months. She was really struggling initially, but brought her homework with her during the week and got a clear understanding of the material. The instructors emailed her teacher and they reviewed test material prior to her exam, and she was able to bring her grade up from a 55% to an 81%.
I would highly recommend this program for anyone whose child struggles with math!
