With a more carefree time of year, it is an excellent way to keep your brain in shape by preventing the summer slide. Our curriculum offers you a series of program choices including our Master Series for nailing down those difficult concepts and our Power Math Workouts focus on readiness and a sneak peak at the new year. We put the "M" in STEM for the STEM+Families initiative! Mathnasium of La Jolla is proud to announce that we have joined forces with National PTA as a partner in PTA's nationwide science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education and family initiative. My daughter's experience at Mathnasium has been extremely positive. She enjoys her sessions, feels successful each time she goes, and her confidence and self esteem in Math has really improved. In three short months, she has learned the skills needed to not only keep up but excel in Math in fourth grade. Thank you Mathnasium!

I have recommended Mathnasium to countless families. Andrew is an outstanding leader who understands the needs of parents and children and he does a great job working with all of the instructors. My kids enjoy coming every summer. They do a fantastic job of keeping the kids motivated while they are learning. I also like the fact that you do not have to schedule appointments and that the instructors move around the children. The facility is larger and more accommodating than other mathnasiums.

Brianna loves to go. She is learning a lot and never hesitates to ask to go over her math work from school it help her identify her mistakes with a fun and easy learning explanation. My daughter is always very eager to go to Mathazium. She has been attending for 6 weeks and is re-visiting work from her previous grade which is solidifying the foundation on which to build. I like that she is motivated to move along and eventually get ahead of her grade. It is an environment where she sees kids of all grades taking Maths seriously and developing good study habits. I initially thought she may be very distracted by all the other students but the space is well disciplined by the tutors.

Mathnasium's approach is focused on topic mastery from the ground up, not just homework assistance or getting that next "A". It will take a longer commitment to the program, but eventually students will have a far greater understanding of the principles, which is the true objective.

My children attended over the summer and I found your program very beneficial for them. It increased their basic skill knowledge and boosted their confidence in math. I would like to continue during the school year but I wish their was just a "weekend club" or a once a week program because it is difficult to make the 2 or 3 visits with all the other school activities.

I think the center is excellent, well located, and the teachers are gifted with the subject of math and teaching it to children. Esp. with the new reqs on Common Core math. Teachers in public school recommend math tutoring, and Mathnasium is a great place for your children to sort out the concepts and build a solid foundation.

The entire staff is fantastic. They truly care about helping my child strengthening her math ability. Hannah is so positive and really goes to the extra mile. Checking students grades at school, being communicative with the parents about everything. Just wonderful. Made us feel like a family member. Will totally recommend this facility.

My daughter enjoys going to math. She had always struggled with math and I have seen an improvement in her ability and her confidence. She still struggles but the fact that she wants to still come makes me happy and I'm hoping her ability will continue to grow. I tell everyone i know that she's going and loves it. My son raves about the Mathnasium staff- he always talk about how "smart" they are. He knows that they will be able to help him with any math problem he brings to them. Mathnasium has definitely helped him get the instruction he needs and his math grade has improved since he started with you.
The above can be used to promote Mathnasium. The following is just my own perspective as a parent: Your center is great and has certainly been beneficial to us. My only wish is that there were more different packages available for purchase. My son does not need to be there 3 times a week. 1-2 times per week is plenty for him. I wish there was a cheaper option for students who do not need as much time in the center as what you currently offer. I don't feel that we get our moneys worth because we can't use all of the time that we pay for. Otherwise, it's great. Thanks for all of your help.

We have been very impressed so far with both the Mathnasium program and in particular with the director of the La Jolla center, Hannah Pultz. Hannah's knowledge of math and children's capacities for learning math is impressive and reassuring. She clearly believes each child has the ability to improve his or her math skills by finding the right approach to the problem for them and by working in a 1:1 environment. Hannah's genuine and warm welcome of my daughter each time we step through the door makes a tremendous impact on her and sets the tone for her 1-hour sessions, which, incredibly, my daughter asks to come to and looks forward to. All of the instructors are friendly and encouraging and the whole center has a bright, open feeling in which students see other students working to improve their math skills and realize they are not alone in whatever struggles they have. We have only been coming to Mathnasium for a month but I can already see my daughter's attitude toward math improving and her skills sharpening. This place is a little gem.

Before signing up my daughter for Mathnasium we always fought about getting her homework done. It was a constant battle and often ended up with a lot of frustration from both of us. From the very first day she started, I saw the biggest difference in her when doing math. It was like a light suddenly turned on. It's now been a month and she is still as eager as she was in the beginning to go to Mathnasium. Her homework is no longer a problem as she now gets all 4-5 pages of math done in one day vs. the whole week it used to take to finish. It's one of the best investment I've ever made and recommend it to everyone whose kids just "don't like math".

Our daughter's school has implemented 'Common Core' Math, this school year which is causing difficulty among students, and educators alike. With 'Mathnasuium' our daughter is receiving help to navigate through the problems she and fellow classmates are experiencing. She has improved so greatly, I'm looking into starting an online 'Gofundme' campaign for a few of our daughter's classmates, who are unable to afford the cost, yet desperately need the help, so they too maybe able to gain access to 'Mathnasuium.'
