Fear is not equal to Fun!

Math is scary! It's the dreaded class for most kids, and we get it, it can be very scary especially when it isn't at all fun.

"Parents responding to a national survey rank math as the most important subject students take in school, but they also rated it as the course most in need of updating and improvement." was a quote that stuck out to me in an article this week by Evie Blad in Education Week.

Math has been traditionally categorized as a MUST take class but also the class that most students will struggle with. There has always been a disconnect between the taking of math and the love of it.

When you don't understand something, how can you love it? Humans have an inate fear of what they do not understand. Mathnasium of Algonquin has a solution. Let's make learning math fun, and once they understand it, they will no longer fear it. Now they understand and it is fun. Win win in our book.
