Find math in everyday activities! Whether comparing prices or figuring out a discount while shopping, or calculating your favorite baseball player's RBI's - math is everywhere!
Cook together! Recipes are a great way to practice measurement - and if you want to shake it up a bit - include concepts like "doubling" - by doubling the recipe. Changes to quantities provide a great way for kids to practice fractional and measurement concepts.
Play games that involve math, problem solving, critical thinking, and/or strategy. Some of our favorites are 24, Rummikube, Set and Yahtzee (to start). Make a family game night count! :)
