People who are new to Mathnasium are sometimes surprised to hear that we are open year round. We commonly hear, "With school out, what will my student be doing?"
During the school year, Mathnasium of Chula Vista focuses on supporting homework, tests, and quizzes so students can have a strong understanding and foundation for the following school year.
But Summer can provide a great opportunity to help identify gaps in a student's foundation and make up for learning loss from years prior, particularly if math struggles have become a chronic issue for your student.
If your student experiences excessively-long homework time, frequent low test and quiz scores, and overall math stress; your child likely has gaps that need to be filled in order to gauruntee future success.
On the other hand, if your child learns new math skills easily, gets bored of the pace at school, and wants to learn more; they are a great fit for our enrichment program!
