Find the Right Approach for your Child’s Math Needs

Jan 1, 2020 | Dominion

How It Works

Our proprietary method consists of three key components which are closely monitored and adjusted to address each child’s learning goals:

Assessments: Students start by taking a customized assessment that pinpoints their needs, allowing us to meet them where they are and take them where they need to go. These assessments continue throughout their Mathnasium instruction to ensure progress and skill retention.

Customized Learning Plans: We then design a customized learning plan for teaching the concepts the student needs to master and use a combination of proprietary materials and instruction techniques to ensure your child masters these concepts.

Specially Trained, Caring Instructors Who Teach: Mathnasium’s specially trained instructors implement the learning plan and work with each student to ensure they master the material. All teaching takes place during the Mathnasium session, and we don’t assign homework.

We pinpoint your child’s learning needs, meet them where they are, and take them where they need to go.

  • Mathnasium instructors use our unique assessment process to determine (with great accuracy) exactly what each child knows and what they need to learn. Next, we design a customized learning plan for teaching the concepts the student needs to master. It doesn’t stop there – our encouraging instructors continually check progress along the way to make sure kids truly understand and retain the concepts we’ve taught. The results are transformative – kids will see measurable changes in attitude, confidence, and school progress.

We will help your child overcome homework frustration.

  • Our instructors will also set aside time to provide homework help. We help kids understand the homework assignment so they feel better prepared to complete the work at home – underscoring their understanding of concepts and transforming homework frustration into a welcome challenge.

About Our Center

We encourage you to view our other reviews online or simply ask a friend about their experience with us.

Will my child get one-one-one attention?

Our student to teacher ratio averages 3:1. This means that students receive the one-on-one attention they need in a small group environment. This benefits the students because they not only receive the coaching needed to learn new skills and concepts but we also give them the "space" needed to independently apply and practice these ideas.

Who are your tutors?

We have the best and brightest instructors in all of San Antonio. Most of our instructors come from UTSA, Basis High School and Brandies High School. They are caring dedicated instructors with strong math backgrounds. Our instructors have been background checked, trained (online and in person) in the Mathnasium Method and most importantly can relate well with students.

How much does it cost?

The cost of our most popular program is about $37 per hour.
