At Mathnasium of Doral, we focus on building deep math understanding and mastery over time, so students are never cramming at the last minute.
Every student begins with a diagnostic assessment that reveals their current skills and knowledge gaps. From there, we create a personalized learning plan that builds math skills consistently and deliberately, laying the groundwork for lasting success in the classroom and beyond.
Our specially trained tutors support students across all K-12 math subjects, from elementary math through Precalculus and beyond. Each session reinforces classroom concepts, fills foundational gaps, and develops the problem-solving skills students need to excel on quizzes, midterms, and final exams.
As a major exam approaches, we shift focus to the specific topics and concepts it covers, so students walk into test day feeling confident and prepared.
Yes! Mathnasium of Doral prepares students for the math portions of the FAST.
Our tutors align instruction with Florida's Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking (BEST) to ensure students have a solid grasp of the grade-level concepts they'll encounter on the exam. We identify each student's knowledge gaps through a diagnostic assessment and build a personalized learning plan that targets the skills they need to meet grade-level expectations and feel genuinely prepared on test day.
The earlier, the better. Because the FAST measures cumulative math understanding built over the school year, students benefit most from consistent, ongoing support rather than last-minute preparation.
Ideally, students should begin working with us at the start of the school year or semester. This gives us time to identify and address any knowledge gaps, build foundational skills, and ensure students are progressing steadily toward grade-level mastery well before test day.
That said, if your student is closer to the exam, we can still make a meaningful difference. Contact us and we'll create a focused plan based on the time available.
Yes. At Mathnasium of Doral, we help high school students prepare for the math portions of the SAT®, PSAT®, and ACT® through personalized instruction built around each student's current skills and target score.
Our specially trained tutors use proprietary test prep materials and personalized learning plans to build the content knowledge and problem-solving strategies that matter most on these exams, whether your student is preparing for the first time or working to improve a previous result.
We recommend starting at least three to six months before the exam date, and earlier is always better.
College admissions math tests cover a wide range of topics, from algebra and data analysis to geometry and, on the ACT®, trigonometry. Students who begin preparation early have time to identify and close knowledge gaps, build fluency with exam-style problems, and develop the confidence that comes from sustained practice.
For students with significant gaps in foundational math skills, starting in middle school or early high school gives them the strongest possible foundation heading into test prep. If your student's test date is approaching sooner, contact us and we'll build a focused plan around the time they have.
Mathnasium of Doral offers math test prep as part of a flat monthly membership fee. Pricing depends on your student's individual plan and session schedule.
For specific pricing information, please contact our center directly — we're happy to walk you through the options and find a plan that fits your student's goals and your family's needs.
The number of sessions depends on your student's current skill level, the exam they're preparing for, and how much time is available before test day.
As a general guide, most students preparing for a major exam such as the SAT®, PSAT®, or ACT® attend two sessions per week over three to six months. For state assessments or classroom exams, the timeline may be shorter depending on the student's starting point and goals.
After the diagnostic assessment, we'll have a clear picture of what your student needs and can recommend a session schedule that gives them the best chance of success.
Yes! Students can join live, face-to-face online sessions with our specially trained tutors in Doral and follow the same personalized learning plan as they would in the center.
There is no difference. Both formats deliver the same personalized learning plan, face-to-face instruction, and caring guidance from our tutors.
Many families combine in-center and online sessions to fit their busy schedule and shifting exam timeline.
Yes. Our tutors understand Florida's Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking (BEST) and the curriculum expectations of local schools in Doral and surrounding communities.
When appropriate, we align personalized learning plans with state standards and classroom goals to support both school performance and exam preparation.
