Are you a high school junior or senior in the Eagan area?

Do you believe that math education is important?

Do you want to earn money and college scholarships while at the same time helping groom the next generation of math superstars?

 

If you answered yes to all of these questions, the Maya Mathlete Community Volunteer Corp is for you. Sponsored and hosted by the Mathnasium of Eagan, this unique scholarship opportunity will give you the chance to talk with community members about the importance of a strong math background while furthering the cause of your own education at the same time!  To be considered for this opportunity, please send an email to [email protected] with the following application items by May 30th:

  • A resume with your highest math achievement in school

  • A recommendation from a Math teacher or department head

  • An unofficial transcript of your high school math classes

  • An explanation of how you have shared your skill in math with your community. Examples can include organizing and  participating in district math contests like math league, math Olympiad, after school volunteer tutoring, organizing any community events, etc.

  • An example of math related humor from your life in 150 words or less.
