What a super Pi-tastic Event at GMS!
Mathnasium of Glenn Dale and GMS Math Club hosted a successful Pi Day event at Greenbelt Middle last Thursday, March 14th, with engaging activities and participation from the whole community.
The evening was filled with engaging and fun activities about Pi (3.14). From getting to know Pi, visualizing Pi to reciting the digits of Pi, which was the highlight of the celebration. The energetic GMS teachers, administrators, community partners and math club members helped to facilitate the different stations and welcomed the participants. The highlight of the evening was reciting the digits of Pi, with Gaby Pineda, 7th grade as the Pi Day champion for recalling 411 digits and a close competition between participants.
Mathnasium of Glenn Dale looks forward to hosting more math night and helping with school and community events in the city of Lanham, Bowie, Glenn Dale and Greenbelt.
