Daily Math Practice

Dec 11, 2018 | Hancock Park

Math is not a sport that we watched on TV. Math requires daily and regular practice exactly like playing a musical instrument, taking ballet classes, practicing basketball to become a better player.

MORE PRACTICE = BETTER SKILLS.

Question: Anna takes ballet lessons every day. On weekdays, her lessons are 1 hour long. On Saturdays and Sundays, her lessons are 1 and a half  hour long. How many hours does Anna practice per week?

Solution: Monday to Friday: 5 x 1 =  5 hours.

Saturday and Sunday: 2 x 1.5 = 3 hours

Total numbers of hours that Anna practices per week = 5 + 3 = 8 hours
