Mar 25, 2020

Dear Mathnasium of Hilliard Families:

We hope everyone is having a safe and healthy week. We wanted to take a moment and update you on our next steps as we kick-off our instructions on Saturday, March 28 via video conferencing through our Mathnasium@home sessions.

It has been very quiet this week being at the center and not seeing our hardworking students throughout the room. That said, we are so proud of our team’s efforts to get everyone set up for their @home sessions this coming week.

For those new to our Mathnasium@home instruction, please remember:

@home sessions must be scheduled. The details on how to do that are mentioned below. Please be sure your student signs in on-time for their session. If they sign in late, we are not able to extend their session’s scheduled end time. The session length is the same as your student would normally receive. Similar to our in-center instructions, students can schedule the same number of sessions they used to have per week.

Scheduling @home Sessions

For now, we will be scheduling your students’ sessions based on your day and time preferences. We feel we will need to take this path to help ensure we get all of our students transitioned as smoothly as possible.

After a while, it is our intent that families will be able to schedule their own sessions through our website.

In addition, we will begin our instructions at 12:00 PM. We will re-evaluate our plan for future weeks as it relates to adjustments for our instruction hours.

Schedule Availability Survey

To help us with our scheduling, please take a moment to fill out the following survey which provides us with information on when it will be best to schedule your student’s sessions.

The earliest start time for a session will be 12:00 PM. The latest start time for a session will be 3:00 PM.

Homework Help

Through the @home platform, we are able to help your child with their homework and distance learning material.

Prior to their session starting, please email us a photo or scanned copy of the assignment. You can send it to [email protected]. After their first online session, they will be asked to upload their assignments to the shared student-specific Homework folder under their Google Drive.

As we noted, we miss you and we look forward to seeing you at Mathnasium@home...

We will keep providing you with additional tips. The platform is very user friendly. We have no doubt you and your student will be able to quickly navigate it.

As always, thank you for being a member of the Mathnasium of Hilliard family. Please let us know if we can answer any questions.

Thank you
