A Way to Change Test and Quiz Scores

Jan 27, 2023 | Huntington Beach

As the new term progresses for your student, you may have noticed that their test and quiz scores in math are not what they were during the previous term and there may be a reason for that.

During the first portion of the school year before winter break, most teachers use this time to review the curriculum that students have learned last year with a slight introduction to the new school year’s curriculum. However, after winter break, this is where the curriculum starts to pick up its pace. During these next four months, from February to the end of May, teachers are trying to fit 90% of this entire school year's curriculum into your student’s learning. Not only does this lead to students to miss a couple of lessons along the way, but possibly causes them to lose their confidence as they aren’t picking up topics like they did previously.

Here at Mathnasium, we have the entire school year’s curriculum at the push of a button. Having this allows us to help our students through their homework and get them prepared for tests and quizzes by giving them extra practice with their current topics in school.

Not only do each of our students get extra practice in the curriculum they need, but they also work with assigned instructors to help them through the topics they are struggling to grasp.
