Hello! We heard you’re looking to get ahead in math. You’ve come to the right place!
Remember the assessment you took a few days ago? Well, we use that to learn what you already know and what we can teach you. We looked at the results to get everything ready for you today! Let’s pick up your papers and I’ll introduce you to your Instructor!
Your instructor will sign you in, ask you our fun Question of the Day, and check if you have any homework you’d like to work on during the last part of your session. Once you’re signed in, we will begin straight away. For each page of the Mathnasium material you complete, your Instructor will add a stamp to your card. The cards you earn can be used at the end of your session to redeem a prize from the reward cabinet. If you see a bigger reward that you would like, you can always save your cards!
If you look around the center, you might recognize some of your friends and classmates from school. That’s because a lot of kids from around NWDC attend our center each week. If you look around a bit more, you might find out Estimation Station (look for Pi the Pig or the letter board pictured above!). The Estimation Station lets you put your brain power to work and gives you the chance to win extra cards!
At the end of the session, your Instructor will sign you out for the day. Keep in mind, you may not be seated with the same Instructor every session. You will get to meet and work with all the Instructors, and you can expect to have the same excellent Mathnasium experience!
If you need a moment to wait for your parent, you can chat with other kids in the waiting area or you can check out the monthly calendar. The monthly calendar has plenty of fun activities and opportunities to earn more cards for fun rewards!
