What I'm hearing from Lakeville families this September

A lot of what I'm hearing from Lakeville parents this month is genuinely positive. Families like that we can connect directly with their child's teacher and build our sessions around what's actually happening in the classroom, not just general math practice. At the same time, some families are honest with us about how packed their fall is between school, sports, and everything else, and a few have asked to put their account on hold for now. We always keep the door open for when they're ready to come back.

The struggles really depend on the student. Most of the kids I'm working with right now are catching up to where they should be, and for a lot of them that means bridging gaps from the last two or three grades. It's not unusual, and it's exactly what we're built to handle, one kid at a time.

If I could give one piece of advice to parents in Lakeville, it would be this. The moment you notice your child struggling in math, start something. Waiting only lets the gap get wider, and the wider it gets, the harder it is to rebuild the foundation underneath it.

We've had a strong start to the fall at the center. We're at 27 enrollments so far, and our team has been out doing teacher contact activities, following up with families who've reached out, and getting the word out at local schools.

Locally, we're proud to be sponsoring the Hike for Highview event at High View Elementary and the Cherry View Trot around the world at Cherry View Elementary. Both are great Lakeville schools and it means a lot to us to support them.
