Our learning center team just returned from the 2023 Mathnasium Convention in Orlando, Florida. This international convention is designed to bring together representatives from hundreds of North American and international franchises to share best practices and recognize top performers.
Mathnasium of Litchfield Park and Goodyear was awarded for Best Assessment Improvement, the highest honor in education. Congratulations to our instructional team! Thank you for your dedication and hard work tutoring our students!
Mathnasium learning centers closely track and record student assessment data and curriculum progress. Mathnasium of Litchfield Park’s students showed the highest growth from the first assessment to their next in January through June 2023.
In the words of Mathnasium Vice President of Education and Vice President of Training, John Bianchette, “across our 1,100+ centers we drive massive achievement with our students ever day... someone had to be number 1 at moving our students ahead!” He continues, "given their deep commitment to their students and having exceptional staff... I was not surprised to see Mathnasium of Litchfield Park in Arizona emerge as the winner."
Mathnasium rewards curriculum completion through star cards. Students get stamps on their star cards for each page of the curriculum they complete that can be redeemed for prizes like snacks, toys, tech and gift cards.
In addition, Mathnasium of Litchfield Park takes incentives one step further and creates learning center wide goals. Students have a benchmark of how many Mastery Checks they need to complete to earn a center-wide prize. This year we have had pizza parties, ice cream socials, popcorn parties and more to celebrate all the learning our students have done.
In addition to the Best Assessment Improvement Award, our ownership team was recognized with two other accolades.
The Lossing family was recognized at Top 5 Owners for the second year in a row. This is their sixth year as Top 10 Owners.
Additionally, the Lossing family was awarded Best Overall Marketing in North America. This award recognizes our dedication to being involved in our community and local schools.
It was a great year for our team and we are looking forward to besting ourselves next year!
