When a new family walks into Mathnasium, the first thing we like to do is find out more information about what your goal is and how our math learning center can best support your student.
We start off with an initial evaluation to ensure we are starting your child off on the right level and avoiding teaching them concepts that are too easy or too difficult. Many students generally showcase gaps in their foundation from the previous school years that are preventing them from succeeding in their current math class.
Mathnasium understands the importance of building a strong foundation from early on so that math success can carry on throughout the years. Due to this importance, Mathnasium has revised our Kinder Program and we are reintroducing it as our Great Foundations Kinder Program!
The Great Foundations program comes with it's own unique evaluation that will determine the skills your 4-5 year old has already developed. Each of our Great Foundations students start off at the level that is appropriate for them and work 1:1 with our math-loving instructors to learn the skills they have not mastered as of yet.
Visual and manipulative aids are vital for an early learner to develop a thorough understanding of each of the fundamental skills that will carry on in the years to come.
