"My Child got A's This Year, We Don't Need Summer Classes" -- Common Myth

May 28, 2021 | Mira Mesa & Scripps Ranch

We are always happy to hear that your child did great during the school year and was able to get good grades in math!

Many guardians take this as a sign that their child deserves a break over the summer since they maintained good grades and are up-to-date with their school concepts.

However, many of us are forgetting the academic impact that every child's skills took when school closed from March through June in 2020.

The truth is that your child missed the introduction, exposure, and repetition of the concepts they should have seen during the last school year and they have gaps hiding in their foundations that will eventually cause them to halt when introduced to a new concept where those foundational skills are necessary.

Teachers are an amazing support to introduce new concepts and Mathnasium is a great resource to supplement the areas your child needs to go back and strengthen in order to be successful!

Come in, we'll conduct a grade-level assessment, and any gaps that are identified will appear on your child's customized learning plan to optimize their summer!

We offer online, in-person, and flexible attendance to fit into your summer schedule and vacation!
