Growing With the Monterey Peninsula: Mathnasium of Monterey Begins Its Fifth Year

Four years after opening our doors, parents still frequently tell us that they wish Mathnasium of Monterey had been here sooner. As we prepare to begin our fifth year of operation, we are grateful for the relationships we have built with students, families, schools, and community organizations throughout the Monterey Peninsula.

Over the past four years, we have worked with more than 450 students, helping them strengthen essential math skills, close learning gaps, prepare for advanced coursework, and build confidence in their abilities. We serve families from Monterey, Carmel, Pacific Grove, Seaside, Marina, and nearby communities.

Mathnasium of Monterey is an approved vendor for homeschool charter programs, including Ocean Grove Charter School and Yosemite Valley Charter School.

This allows participating students to receive personalized math instruction tailored to their individual learning needs, academic goals, and current skill level.

One parent summarized their family’s experience this way:

“I can’t say my kids love spending their free time doing math, but they LOVE the outcome—their improved comprehension, comfort, and confidence with anything math-related! My only regret is that we didn’t discover Monterey’s Mathnasium earlier.”

Our involvement in the community extends beyond the instruction provided at our center.

Most recently, Mathnasium of Monterey contributed to fundraising efforts benefiting Monterey Bay Charter School and Festa Italia. Over the years, we have also supported local schools—including Santa Catalina, San Carlos School, Monte Vista, Bay View Academy, and schools throughout Carmel and Pacific Grove—as well as community organizations through donations, educational activities, and local events.

Mathnasium of Monterey is also proud to be a member of the Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, reflecting our commitment to serving local families and supporting the broader Monterey Peninsula community.
