Does your student have unusual speed and accuracy while solving math problems?
Can your student solve math problems in multiple ways?
Does your student grasp math concepts and strategies quickly?
If you’ve answered yes to the above 3 questions, then this sounds like you have an ADVANCED MATH STUDENT! (Yay!!)
___________________________________________
Advanced math students need more advanced material to keep them engaged. Joseph Renzulli, PhD, states "Certain advanced students may need, and prefer, an accelerated program." This can be a bit tricky in a traditional classroom where there are several different levels of math learners and just one teacher. How is a teacher supposed to design a whole different curriculum for a small group of high achievers? Well, they usually can't. (And we don't blame them, either)
But we can't have those high-achievers getting bored and complacent. No way.
Mathnasium of Monterey Park has a really great idea.
When an advanced math student comes to Mathnasium, we are prepared to run alongside them. Each new student begins their journey by completing a comprehensive math assessment meant to reveal any holes in a student's math understanding. And if there aren't many holes? Well, then it gets fun :)
Our specially-trained Mathnasium instructors are fluent in elementary level math all the way up to the big leagues.
Are fractions too easy for your child in school? We’ll challenge them!
Are they curious as to what the next concept will be? We’ll show them.
Algebra? Got you covered.
Let us help your student keep their natural interest in math by engaging them with the level of education they need.
