Q: What did you notice about your center/re the first time you came in?
Wil Osselmann-Chai, Instructor: The first thing I noticed about this center was how relaxed, and calming the environment is. The room is big and open, we get a lot natural light, its clean and tidy, and we play lo-fi music. I think it creates a very productive learning environment.
Q: What is your favorite memory at your center/re?
Violet Gallegos, Assistant Center Director: I have a lot of favorite memories! At our Pi Day, one of our students ran in and gave me a big hug! I'm so glad we have that kind of positive impact on our students. Another favorite memory was when one of our students was doing the verbal section of his "Mastery Check." Every time he got a question right, he was so excited that he gave me a high-five and did a little victory dance afterwards. It was so cute and I was so glad that he was enjoying his math studies so much!
Alex Kramer, Instructor: One of my favorite memories at Mathnasium was our Pi Day event where students got to engage in Pi related activities, enjoy pizza pie, and pie some instructors in the face (not me).
Q: What’s your favorite part about your center/re?
Alex Juneja, Center Owner: It's hard to narrow down everything I love about our center concisely, but it's all about the people. The parents, the kids, even our instructors; the people we work with and for on a daily basis are the best! I also love how we are able to customize and individualize our service based on who we're working with. No two kids have the same experience, but we always make sure they're getting the most out of their learning with max fun behind it!
Reuben Nogueira, Instructor: I enjoy seeing how the kids have created their own community at out center. Instead of coming in with a frown, they come in eager to learn math with their friends. They are also very interactive and participate in events such as movie night and the fun calendar!
Q: What time of year is the most fun at your center/re?
Alexander Corea, Leas Instructor: Springtime was definitely the most fun time of year at the center because of Pi Day! It was a blast.
