With schools closing early in spring and new learning options available this fall, you may be thinking about how to tackle this new school year.
According to Education Week, “Engaging students is more essential than ever: Months of unequal access to instruction last spring mean that students will be coming back to school, in person or remotely, with varying degrees of learning loss.”
Academic experts agree that math has been the hardest hit subject. The NWEA, a non-profit research organization, predicts that children in elementary school will experience the biggest slide in their math skills and comprehension. But the impact straddles all grade levels. And for college-bound students, those math learning gaps could easily translate to lower GPAs and reduced standardized test scores.
Whether your child is returning to school, homeschooling, or enrolling in a hybrid program, Mathnasium of Oviedo can help you fill in gaps in your child’s education. We understand your child is unique. We craft a personalized learning plan to aid in their math learning that fits their schedule.
In-Center Sessions
Although schools are changing their ways of teaching, we still offer the same quality face-to-face instruction since we first opened our doors to the Oviedo community. Under careful CDC guidelines, we create a safe and fun learning environment for your child to get in person instruction, homework help, or test prep.
Our expert instructors follow our Mathnasium Method to teach math in a way that it makes sense to our students. From basic math to advanced concepts, we make sure your child excels in their curriculum and is ahead of the curve.
“The instructors there are patient, calm, and well-minded,” one of our Mathletes says. “Mathnasium has helped me go from being a person who could barely do basic Algebra to a master in Quadratics and a beginner in Calculus.”
Mathnasium@home
Our new and proven Mathnasium@home platform allows students to receive the same live one-on-one instructor interface with Mathnasium materials as they would receive in the center. Your child will be able to receive convenient tutoring sessions from home or anywhere with an internet connection. Any Mathnasium@home student can switch to In-Center sessions at any time.
“[Mathnasium@home provides] exceptional education during these challenging times,” Elana C. says. “They have been working tirelessly to make sure our kids get top-level tutoring while remote.”
Private Tutoring
In unique situations, we can provide private tutoring for your child. Our specially trained instructors will work one-on-one with your child at our learning centers or online to provide focused and personalized guidance and instruction.
Coming Soon: Prime Study Space
We’re so excited to announce our new service, Prime Study Space. Beginning August 31, our center will provide a comfortable workspace with a private desk, fast internet, and power outlet for each child to focus on their school’s distance learning plan in all subjects. Background-checked facilitators will keep them on track, so you can focus on your day. Enrollment begins Monday, August 24 and spots are limited.
Your child’s instruction is more critical than ever. Students who consistently attend Mathnasium sessions enjoy a transformative learning experience and make tremendous strides in comprehension, confidence and grades.
No matter what school looks like for your child, Mathnasium of Oviedo’s got their back — and yours. We’ll ensure they have the tools they need to stay on track and soar ahead this school year.
