Mathnasium of East Lake wants to introduce you to our Owner, Emily Gyurke, Owner/Director

Q: Why did you choose to own a Mathnasium center? A: As a prior elementary teacher, I have always had a passion for educating our youth. When students feel confident in math, they have the power to do and be anything they want in this world!

Q: What do you like about the city your Mathnasium center is located in? A: East Lake is a close-knit community full of parents, teachers, and students who care.

Q: Can you think of any way that your center has positively impacted the community that it’s located in? A: We have been lucky enough to support the teachers, families, and schools in our area through Math Nights as well as donations of food and supplies to show our appreciation!

Q: Did you like math when you were in grade school? A: I have always had a passion for math!

Q: What do you think you would have liked most about Mathnasium if you had attended when you were in grade school? A: I wish Mathnasium had been around when I was in grade school! I love that Mathnasium fits the needs of each and every student. Students who are struggling can get the help they need, while students who are looking for enrichment can be challenged to get ahead.

Q: One last question, what’s something fun you enjoy doing in East Lake? A: I love to grab a coffee at the local Starbucks and walk over to the John Chestnut Park!
