At Mathnasium of Phoenixville, we believe the best exam preparation starts well before exam day. We help students build deep math understanding and mastery over time.
Students begin the enrollment process with a diagnostic assessment that helps us identify their current skills and knowledge gaps. We then create a personalized learning plan that builds math skills consistently, session by session, so students aren't starting from scratch before every test.
When a major exam is approaching, we can align instruction to the specific topics and concepts it will cover so students walk in feeling confident and prepared.
Absolutely! At Mathnasium of Phoenixville, we help students prepare for the math sections of the PSSA by aligning instruction with Pennsylvania Academic Standards for Mathematics and each student's individual needs.
The process begins with a diagnostic assessment to pinpoint gaps in understanding. From there, we create a personalized learning plan designed to build the skills students need to meet and exceed grade-level expectations.
The earlier, the better. The PSSA is designed to measure cumulative math understanding build over the school year, so students benefit from consistent, ongoing support rather than last-minute preparation.
Ideally, students should start working with us at the beginning of the school year or semester. This gives us time to identify and address any knowledge gaps, build foundational skills, and ensure students are progressing steadily toward grade-level mastery well before test day.
That said, if your student is closer to the exam, we can still make a meaningful difference. Contact us and we'll create a focused plan based on the time available.
Yes! Mathnasium of Phoenixville prepares high school students for the math sections of the SAT®, PSAT®, and ACT®.
Our specially trained tutors use personalized learning plans to build the content knowledge and problem-solving strategies students need to perform their best on test day. Whether your student is taking the exam for the first time or looking to improve their score, we tailor preparation to their current skill level and target goals.
We recommend starting at least three to six months before the exam date, and earlier is always better.
College admissions math tests cover a wide range of topics, from algebra and data analysis to geometry and, on the ACT®, trigonometry. Students who begin preparation early have time to identify and close knowledge gaps, build fluency with exam-style problems, and develop the confidence that comes from sustained practice.
For students with significant gaps in foundational math skills, starting even earlier, in middle school or early high school , gives them the strongest possible foundation heading into test prep.
If your student's test date is approaching sooner, contact us and we'll build a focused plan around the time they have.
At Mathnasium of Phoenixville, math test prep is included as part of a flat monthly membership. Pricing is based on each student's individual learning plan and session schedule.
Contact our Phoenixville center for specific pricing details and to find the plan that best fits your student's goals and your family's needs.
The number of sessions depends on your student's current skill level, the exam they're preparing for, and how much time is available before test day.
As a general guide, most students preparing for a major exam such as the SAT®, PSAT®, or ACT® attend two sessions per week over three to six months. For state assessments or classroom exams, the timeline may be shorter depending on the student's starting point and goals.
After the diagnostic assessment, we'll have a clear picture of what your student needs and can recommend a session schedule that gives them the best chance of success.
