CONGRATULATIONS to our August Teacher of the Month - Melissa Baker!

Teacher of the Month Presented by Mathnasium and AZTV

Teacher of the Month is a monthly “contest” presented by Mathnasium, the math learning center, and AZTV (Channel 7). Each month one teacher will be selected from community nomination to be recognized as Teacher of the Month. Current and former students and parents of students, colleagues, and relatives of teachers are encouraged to nominate teachers who go above and beyond for their classroom and campus to win this award. Winning teachers are surprised in their classroom by AZTV and are presented with a check for $479 from Mathnasium.

CONGRATULATIONS to our August Teacher of the Month - Melissa Baker!

Mrs. Baker is a second grade teacher at Gilbert Christian Schools Greenfield Campus. 

Melissa was selected as our winner of August Teacher of the Month based off her glowing nomination, shared below.

Melissa Baker is an exceptional 2nd grade teacher at Gilbert Christian.

In addition to being a wonderful educator, there’s 3 special qualities that make Melissa a standout candidate for Teacher of the Month:

1. Melissa identifies the unique gifts and abilities of each of her students, and takes the time to help them recognize their own potential and grow.
2. Melissa is a great mentor to her young class. She goes above and beyond to help her students grow as little members of society.
3. Melissa continues to study to better herself for her students; staying up to date on the latest and greatest teaching practices. She is truly devoted to mastering her craft for the betterment of her classroom and campus.

Thank you to Melissa for making a lasting impact on her students and setting them up for a lifelong love of learning.
