In order to teach math the way that makes sense to people of all ages, our specially trained tutors must have ample instructional materials, like our proprietary extensive curriculum, (content) and multiple teaching techniques (delivery) in order to meet each student’s unique needs.
Of course, no method is going to help if the topic doesn't match the student's needs. That is why we offer the programs below, so we can provide targeted help where it's needed most.
Mathnasium offers a variety of individualized tutoring services – all using our unique teaching methods – to meet the needs of every student, from Pre-K to Calculus. All services are offered online and in-center at this time.
For those whose math skills are already above their current grade level or are eager to get ahead and stay ahead. We provide a learning program customized to their goals, for continued acceleration and enrichment on topics of interest, which will keep them ahead, build confidence, and help them with advanced math placements.
Ideal for those with math skills at their current grade level, who need that extra hand to make sure they are understanding every bit of what they are learning. We provide a learning program customized to their goals and current schoolwork, with a focus on mastery and classroom success. Homework and test prep are often incorporated into the plan to strengthen the skills and make schoolwork a breeze.
Helping those who may have skills that remain unmastered from past grade levels reach their full potential. Students in this program often need help understanding and completing their current schoolwork, and must fill the gaps from the concepts of the past to be successful in the future. We provide a learning program customized to their current school needs and gaps identified by their assessment and their instructor, with the goal of improving confidence and moving towards grade level skills.

We provide a qualified and trained instructor who will utilize the materials (schoolwork, textbook, etc.) you bring, and supplemental Mathnasium material as appropriate, to ensure your child understands the concepts, has gotten adequate practice, and has demonstrated mastery. Placement test prep and targeted advancement are common uses for this program as well.
For those preparing to take the SAT, ACT, or even the GRE in the coming months. We provide them a learning program to strengthen their math and test-taking skills so they can encounter the standardized test with the highest confidence and greatest understanding of the concepts being tested. This program incorporates a specialized assessment, conceptual instructions, practice problems similar to those on the actual tests, and timed full-length practice tests. This will enable us to cover all aspects of the test.
